  1. So, I assume that you take all their gear and set up a tent for them next to your van? Make sure you tell the steward that you need room for a tent when you get parked up.. Then you can go meet them at the gate in CV17/16 assuming they get into the car park alright good luck with it.. enjoy your festival
  2. No confusion on the question... Your friends need to get themselves into the Car Parks on the east side of the festival and then ask to be let in to the CV East fields. The gate (to my knowledge) is between car park 8 & 9, bringing you in to CV17/16 (see map) BUT... because they are being dropped off they need to somehow get into the car parks...(thats the tricky bit)
  3. nobody in the CV East gets their wristbands until they go through PGC (the Gate at the bottom of the hill) the same as regular punters.. Not sure how your friends would get into the car park... maybe getting dropped off at the Car Parks entrance on A37??
  4. you shouldnt need a ton of space then... Good luck and have a great festival
  5. Who knows you may be able to park up having enough spare for your friend.. to your point strategically pitch a tent..The fields are not perfectly square and often you will get a bit of room if you are on the end (near a hedge).. My friend did this for me one year in E19.. Of course the festival dont want people driving about willy nilly as there are lots of people about.. I would suggest 2 things are key... 1. dont take the piss with the amount of space you take and 2. dont piss off your neighbours by edging into their space. What vehicles do you have and which section are you both in.?
  6. I think what he was suggesting is NOT to head back down Blue Route but rather... If he arrived Tuesday and parked in E18 could he then leave E18 when his buddy turns up on Thursday and gets put in E14... my thoughts are that it could work but only if you are actually in the field when your friend arrives.. and then you could ask the parking steward if they can leave a space for you to move into.... They may say no of course depends whether there are still a few coming in.. I certainly wouldnt move your van until you know that a new spot is there..
  7. may also depend on which field (Quiet or General) and the size of vehicle... a small vw can fit anywhere (end or a row etc) but a caravan with awning would likely go in the next available slot .. At that time I would imagine E24 for Quiet and E14 for General
  8. good shout... Im assuming they have played before.? I havent seen them though.
  9. He came back and fitted it today... all working. Cold Beers!
  10. Otherwise known as the 'Slope of Mild Inconvenience'... its not too bad at all.. certainly nothing like the trek up to Worthy View seen here
  11. congratulations... I am sure folk on here would be interested to know which competition you were a lucky winner of..?
  12. will be good to know post festival how you got on... (learning for others) Have a great trip & festival!
  13. If you had said East Quiet on Thursday evening, then they may be trying to squeeze you onto the end of a row but i imagine that Tuesday would see the fields more than half full... Make sure you wander round to the top of the Hill of Death with a beer to take in the view once you are set up.. it is quite a sight If you hadnt seen it, this thread shows the order of filling the fields :
  14. Its my birthday today... Man been round to try and fix the gas feed to the fridge in the caravan.. I need to go pick up a new valve tomorrow and he is going to fit it on Saturday.. (additional cold boxes at the ready in case of emergency) 🤞
  15. how do you get access to Love Fields.? Is it via the Blue Route along Pylle Lane.?? because they take you into a field and check tickets along Pylle Lane (before you reach Pylle itself..) @goose70have you spoken to Love Fields at all.? I imagine they have seen all sorts of nonsense over the years and they might be able to offer advice & guidance?
  16. I hope they are not all like you or you are going to have 135,000 people behind you holding a shoe in the air... "It's a sign..!"
  17. BONG..!! (That's the sound the ultimate party pooper should make every time he walks into a room) I imagine you are going to have a miserable time next week watching all those bastards enjoying themselves,,
  18. out of interest... where are your tickets for (CV East Quiet / General / Bath & West).? and when do you plan on arriving?
  19. I would imagine so...I(as do lots of others) bring a caravan with full awning and also a tent.. Let the stewards know when you are parking up..
  20. I like your line of questioning officer...
  21. yes.. looking back at Clashfinder they subbed Pallet on the sunday in 2016.. and I noted that Vintage Trouble played in 2017... I only started going in 2018... what was i thinking.??
  22. otherwise often known on here as the 'Slope of Mild Inconvenience'...

I would also look at getting all 18 engaged in ticket buying in October for 2024 (assuming you will be going).. It will get them used to the process and maybe help sort your group members..(who's up for it?)
