  1. been going since 2007... Never done either of them
  2. to answer my own question... No they were both on Sunday (2011 & 2010) (Thought I had better check)
  3. Am I imagineering it.. or didnt Ray Davies and Paul Simon both play on the Saturday.? (Cannot be arsed to check)
  4. The best pieces of work are often there.. you should see the table i have made with the hundreds of beer bottle tops i have collected over the years held in place with a resin layer.. (I actually have the bottle tops somewhere..)
  5. @Yoghurt on a StickI thought you were on some woodworking project after borrowing dangerous cutting tools..?? dont be burning the house down with a £25 arc welder
  6. Breezing into the CV fields around midday on Tuesday and getting parked up in the best spot i have had in 10 festivals (E19 next to the fence) The unbelievably good burger (from my local butcher) that we barbecued on Wednesday afternoon washed down with some decent red wine and several Dark & Stormy's At long last having the courage (thanks to my daughters badgering) to show my face at the Ridge & Furrow meet... I spoke to some lovely people and look forward to next year (🤞) Going to see Doreen Doreen in the Astrolabe at 01:30... an absolutely joyful hour of singing your heart out to old classics Saturday with Ailbhe Reddy in Croissant Neuf, Lizzo and Vintage Trouble... Elton 48 years after I last saw him The many random strangers I spoke with (and particularly the one i was able to help with their ill mannered CV neighbours)
  7. I started late (48) in 2007 and have missed 08 (deliberately) and 22 (ticket luck ran out)…. Bringing, then teenage, daughters since 2009… Having 11 years in the CV Fields and never really having a feeling for the majority of music on offer in the late night areas means I haven’t had the difficult transition from the ‘full on’ described by many.. this year I walked less and certainly drank less than any other festival previously.. but I certainly see a potential future of enjoying a different view of the festival.. missing out on tickets in 22 felt like a personal slight initially but I am much more accepting of it not being a given in future… maybe if I miss out a couple of years in a row I will just stop trying..
  8. After tonight’s performance at Electric Brixton, Sylvan Esso are an absolute must.!
  9. i'm definitely getting Tuesday to Tuesday fomo...
  10. They were excellent at Bearded Theory in May... Did they skip Brass in Pocket again.? that was the only wrinkle at BT.
  11. Nothing to the standards being shown here.. but one of those times where you feel you need to capture the feeling of being somewhere that you love.. (all snapped in short order) when you tell people you were at Glastonbury and they ask “what was your favourite… Elton? Foo Fighters?..” ”well actually, I was sitting in carhenge with a cider in hand on Thursday evening, the sun was starting to set and….” you need to be there.
  12. I thought (per your previous post) you were working..? Swapping EJ for Maneskin.?
  13. Doreen Doreen in Astrolabe was on until 02:30... a proper singalong with tributes to Tina Turner and Faithless amongst a whole host of cheesy tunes performed live.. great entertainment.
  14. id take that * *NOT Take That...
  15. I still hold out hope for Michael McDonald/Doobie Bros…
  16. that is a remarkable pace home... i had 7.5 Hrs of driving (with half an hour breakfast break) for 195 miles back to Cambs.. but i had to navigate Stonehenge, the M25 and M1 and didnt get my arse in gear until 08:45 I imagine the bus transfer straight after headliners is not great? Good to hear a positive review of B&W though..So I assume on Tuesday you just unhitched and went out for lunch then.?? so can you do that at any time?
  17. I did indeed... I will be glad when they install the escalator on that hill though.
  18. you could do without all the get pitched up malarkey.. sounds a bit stressful.
  19. Wow.. That was a result.! So how did the neighbour get offsite and back in again (as it is one way)..? I assume they must have to drive out past Love Fields on Blue Route and then come back in via the normal Pylle Lane?? Where did they pick up your friends?
  20. I missed you at the Weds meet @StoneCircle I wanted to thank you for your constant sage advice on here (what this forum is best at in my view)
  21. it was a long drinking day for all of us @gazzared Excellent Doreen Doreen tip btw.. Great fun
  22. @Twunt how did this work out for you… did you get parked next to your friends.? I met a nice lady on Wednesday that was parked in E15 and her neighbours (in 2 vans) were a bit obnoxious.. music, shouting and on the weed all thru Tuesday evening into the early hours and it was really tightly packed in there anyway. so we spoke to the stewards and they helped her move to E14 later on Wednesday.. but that was a woman camping on her own that was feeling uncomfortable.. an understandable reason to move..
  23. Good insight.. I have only camped in CV East before. So is the field there more like an organised campsite (marked out pitches) or still with stewards guiding you in.?? it is fairly random in CVE and they gave me so much space I asked my neighbour if they wanted me to move over before I detached the caravan but they also had a ton of space…
