  1. I said it was a shambles but what could they do ? As one who suffered from the payment verification issued in the last main sale I wish they had cancelled that before as the way that was set up I was never getting in on my card and also then locked our numbers. Damed if they do, dammed if they dont.
  2. I checked mine and advised others in our group to as well. I am sure some didn't. So yeah if they had completed all the things correctly and found no number and costs us a speck yeah I would be pissed off. A right call if not a bit of a shambolic one.
  3. Hope you and I are all lucky and remember there are several ways into the festival and do not give up (We won tickets last year)

  5. I watched Jalen support somebody way back in 2016. Had a little chat with him to say how good he was. I think he was studying in Liverpool at the time at McCartneys LIPA. I have tickets to see him in Liverpool next month. Really looking forward to it. This was from my blog on the night A quick mention for the support act Jalen N’gonda who provided some soulful choons totally different from first up The Mysterines whom sadly I didnt pay that much attention to as I was in a scrummage at the bar. But back to Jalen N’gonda who is American but has found his was to this great city of ours. With a powerful soulful voice I must admit I am a bit of a sucker for live soul music and will deffo be looking out for his name if he plays in Liverpool again. Even bumped into him post gig and we expressed how good we thought we was.
  6. Sad news and not too long after his ex-wife Annie. I used to go to school with their son. Always popped in Probe back in the day but a teenage me in the late 80's it wasn't really my scene. Have the occasional nose in there now and again. I gave my HMHB "Back in the D.H.S.S" as spin on Sunday.

    2024 Stage Predictions

I have a ticket to see him next week in Liverpool. Always wanted to see him. I got one of the cheap seats at £75 !!!! Would not normally pay that for a gig but after 30 years I finally get to see him. Going on my own as I wasn't paying £75 for Mrs Fay to go "yeah he was alright" 😂
  8. "Cant replicate" on the new album is a great track.
  9. Feel like I have been on the ale since Glastonbury and the auld shorts are a bit tighter. Back doing exercise though not cranking the mileage up too far yet due to dodgy knees (Steady 4 milers) I am 50 on the 18th so any diet/health kick will have to wait for that to pass. The big aim is to do the Manchester marathon in April 2024 (I ran a marathon for my 40th) and run it for charity. Not sure the knees have it in them this time and don't want to let any sponsors down if I say I will but then the knee (s) go. Decisions decisions eh !
  10. I say the same every year and Jamiroquai
  11. Warming up to mime most of it !! I bet it sounds great in the world David looks like he is in 🤣
  12. All you can do is try. Gutted if I don't get any but as long as I have tried my best then not much I can do about it.
  13. Started looking for a new tent. Had the other one 10 years and it started to leak at Bluedot.
  14. My musings on the two days at the festival. "Bluedot 2023 review” https://wp.me/pzmxh-2Ut
  15. Done the same but had a cracking two days there despite conditions. We moved the car on Saturday to by the tracks and that done the business. A couple of cars already stuck at 8.30am awaiting a tractor !!
  16. Looks like my KLF poncho will finally be making a debut at a festival 😩
  17. Final one. New Blog “Glastonbury 2023 the pictures” As it says on the tin just the best pics from my Glastonbury 2023. https://wp.me/pzmxh-2SR Thanks to anyone who has read any of the above. Glastonbury blogs always more popular than my normal ramblings ✌️

  19. 10th Glastonbury, going since 2010. I turn 50 in September. Thinking it might be time for a pre erected tent. The drag from the car to Bushy Ground is a killer.

    Other Festivals

Only ever been to Glastonbury (10 times) and the odd day at a Creamfields but this year is our 20th wedding anniversery so we are going to Bluedot in a couple of weeks. Looking forward to Roisin Murphy (Missed her for Macca) and Grace Jones. Will be very interesting to do another festival and the added bonus that it is an hours drive away.
  21. Must admit at first I was a bit underwhelmed by the guests. Only afterwards I understand that Elton has his musical finger on the pulse big time. Somthing I was unaware of. He a champion of new artists etc so fair play to him and well done.
  22. Normally part of crying Sunday. Early doors this tear as a tear crept out during The Gabriels cover version of "Back to life" on Friday !! "Where do the children play" had me going a bit as well.
  23. Duran Duran would do me
  24. New Blog “Glastonbury the final review, well part 1 (Weds/Thurs)” https://wp.me/pzmxh-2Rv Including special embargoed announcement two of our gang got engaged 😍
