  1. I think he's pretty particular whenever he plays tbh. I still remember the quad sound he brought to the farm in 2002 as being top notch, and that's 22 years ago now 👌 😯
  2. I'd normally very much agree (Wembley is utter pants tbh...) although the best sound and acoustics I've ever heard was at Berlin Olympic Stadium for Roger Waters doing "The Wall" back in Sept 2013. Granted it was a crystal clear still evening and we were centre pitch seated but the sound overall was something very very special.
  3. It's a good point, and while I've got reservations about whether the Weds fireworks have had their day I'd certainly miss the spectacle during a headline performance, although not everyone brings them obvs. We don't want to get too Puritanical about it, such that it becomes a total buzz kill.
  4. Certainly for the biggest acts in the world I fear the seats will always be full whatever the pricing, but the demographic will change with seats being occupied more and more by well heeled punters who simply want to tick a box and Insta themselves at the front of a Stones gig etc. The diehard fan with a mortgage and a family, well, he/she's seen him/her/them a gazillion times, had their moment, paid their cash........thanks very much but..... Springsteen is a prime example again where tons of long term US followers have ditched him for this very reason but his tickets are still like rocking horse sh*t even at crazy prices. A big shame tbh.
  5. Looks like Ticketmaster are the only site with Standing left....and they've def bumped the price. Thieves.

    2024 Headliners

I've been looking myself but I've found nothing tbh 😒
  7. Yes cost would definitely be a consideration but I'd guess with the amount of fireworks they launch it might not be too different. I'm also thinking fireworks might have had their day tbh.....they're not exactly environmentally friendly in those numbers....polluting the air and whatever falls onto the ground would leach into the watercourses etc.
  8. Wouldn't surprise me at all this year.....especially with these guys just a few miles down the road in Frome. https://celestial.show/
  9. At least it looks like we're not expected to pay £100 to watch Angus strut his stuff from behind the staging.....
  10. Echo & The Bunnymen.... preferably in Woodsies where the acoustics would suit 👌

    2024 Headliners

Yeah.... that was a moment for sure 😢
  12. Ignore my daft post just realised we have a 2024 thread too. How about locking this one and changing the name of the 2024 one?
  13. Could you not simply change the name so it has no year? Might save the need to have a new thread each year.....
  14. Great cause obviously but I can't bear Band Aid's 'Do They Know It's Christmas'. Probably something to do with working in Our Price Christmas 1984 and hearing it on loop...all day...every day...for about 3 weeks 😬
  15. Just the "Judy, Judy, Judy" bit for me. Desist please, Right now.
  16. My life is forever blighted when I hear this by the sight of idiots on the dancefloor prancing around with their hands behind their backs like the faux gypsies Kev and his mates created. Utter garbage. Shame cos I really like a lot of Dexy's material until that point.
  17. Fingers crossed......UK dates close to G make it very difficult for a lot I guess 😥
  18. Mason's Arms.....IYKYK Sadly no longer with us 😢
  19. There was a supermarket window in SL last year with fake packaging etc in the window....Shangri-Mart I think it was called. I wasn't (unfortunately) aware there could have been a venue behind though 😢
  20. Flying back from Bangkok with BA in 2017 and 4 hours from LHR. Time to arrival suddenly changes to 24 minutes and we start dumping fuel from the wing. Pilot alerts cabin to emergency landing in Moscow and we head down like a stone. On the ground from 34000 feet in less than 15 minutes. Woman near rear of cabin is stretchered off with suspected stroke 😥
  21. Yes....history shows there's certainly no guarantee of it. #thereisnopattern
  22. Agreed....I just mean the pot of potential names may not have been overflowing hence why rejigging needed.
  23. Stevie, Dua, Coldplay in that order suggests GFL have struggled to fill a hole left by Madge.....
