  1. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israeli_war_crimes What a set of c**ts.
  2. We’re told what they want us to think, like small boats crossing the channel are a “priority” for the population (they’re not) or that the economy is growing under the Tories (it isn’t). They’re so desperate to have us unthinkingly adopt their own agenda as priorities that they can’t stop waffling on about how important their chosen wedge issues are to us.
  3. It’s not really about chairs though. It’s just about people who take up excess space. Not far in front of me were a bunch of people waiting for Elton who sat down on blankets, spread out as if they were on a beach. They were like that throughout Lil Nas X, having absolutely no interest in him but still taking up coveted field space. They continued to sit down as if announcements didn’t apply to them when the call came for people sitting down to stand up and allow more people in.
  4. I’ve been saving Industry s2 for the Christmas holidays. Looking forward to delving back into that world. Thought the first season was terrific.
  5. Happy Summer Solstice from down under!
  6. C'mon - it would be a blast!
  7. Award for the most ridiculous thing posted on eFestivals today!
  8. Pretty obvious now the Tories have realised their only last-ditch cling to power is to smear the opposition. It's straight out of the Trump playbook - just make up any old sh*t and do it enough in the hope something will stick. The bad news for them is the last 13 years.
  9. But using them in the morning before breakfast is great. They're not at all bad when things aren't busy.
  10. This will eventually go to the SCOTUS but Trump's been kicked off the ballot in Colorado. This is a big development. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-67768873

All we really need is this c**t doing the Brent dance and delivering some of that Princess Diana Memorial concert level cutting edge for an hour and a half. Job done. Give the money saved to charidee.

I meant we’ll know if Madge is a BST exclusive when BST announce, which should be quite soon (next month?).

I can just imagine that happening. In which case we should know relatively soon.
  14. He played at Park and The Levels this year, didn’t he? Is there any stage he’s yet to play?

Could this be plausible?: 1. Madge is who Emily was talking about when saying she got a call from a huge American star saying they’ll be available. 2. The conversation therefore started around availability rather than cost. 3. The booking team wet themselves with excitement and discussed a provisional fee which was agreed in principle. 4. Madge got BST to agree to bring her full tour production to Hyde Park, and they paid for it. 5. She then decided she wanted to do the same at Glastonbury, increasing costs dramatically and beyond what GFL is willing to pay. Deal’s dead. I mean, I hope not. But who knows 🤷‍♂️

What an appallingly written article, regardless of whether there's any merit to it. There are enough inaccuracies to make me doubt it, but none of the inaccuracies are attributed to the source, just the writer who could have just gotten mixed up. They've been after Madge for many years and I believe it's cost that's usually gotten in the way, so the idea they'd only find out how expensive she'd be when talks are advanced strikes me as unlikely. Like others have said, the fee, or rough approximate, would surely have come up quite early on. This could also be a deliberate leak as part of last-ditch negotiation tactics, albeit pretty desperate.
  17. Caroline Lucas describes the Rwanda bill as a “performative piece of cruelty from a dying administration”. As insightful and correct as ever. The Commons will be less without her.
  18. You don’t think collectively and deliberately deleting WhatsApp messages isn’t a very good job? Johnson, Hancock and Sunak all seem to be singing from the same hymn sheet. Doesn’t that ring alarm bells to you? To me it wreaks of collusion and collective obstruction of justice. How would you describe it?
  19. I’m sure you would. The fact remains that if there was literally nobody in government who was retaining critically important communication about policy being concocted on the fly on a smartphone app, that says much more about the sorry state of government than it does about the official record (which is currently being forensically dismantled).
  20. So you’re telling us you’ve swallowed the idea that not a single WhatsApp message he sent or received during Covid was pertinent enough for him or his team to have formally retained it for the public record? This during a time unprecedented decisions were being made that affected the lives (and deaths) of tens of thousands of families, and you’re happy to accept “hmm, the upgrade seems to have gone wrong again”? Jesus Christ.
  21. I replaced a five year old phone a couple of months ago. I had no real idea what I was doing and a my WhatsApp messages returned perfectly. The idea that Whitehall is somehow at the mercy of upgrade technology, rather than deliberately saving messages that clearly involve national and historical importance, is a total joke. As is anyone who believes that there was no WhatsApp policy, so anything goes. Tribalism has created a nation of idiots.
  22. That’s The Roots out for another year, then. Sigh.
  23. Oh I see. In that case we should definitely believe that someone in the highest office in the land with untold failsafes is a genuine victim of multiple botched transfers, at the exact same time messages that may incriminate him might have been sent. Because a similar thing once happened to Barry off eFests.
  24. It hasn't been finalised yet. Will be soon I hope.
  25. As a rule, personal attacks against other posters are not allowed and will be deleted. Generally, the only thread in which this rule is enforced is this one. This thread is nearly three years old, and the dynamic between regular posters is well established. It’s a thread in which you persist in posting in a deliberately provocative way, often knowingly and deliberately winding up others. While that’s not against any existing rules, posting in that manner will obviously result in certain reactions. As mods, we keep that context in mind. You posted that Palestinians brought the suffering they’re experiencing “on themselves”. You’re entitled to your opinion of course, but it will be of no surprise to you that it was met with an angry response. The response was not a personal attack but an expression of anger at your position by somebody you've admitted in the past you enjoy winding up. In keeping your original post up, we also decided not to remove any reaction it caused, although we would have removed any attack levelled against you personally. If you would like to stop reporting the number of posts you have in recent weeks, it would help if you could post in a less inflammatory manner and if not, accept that some people will disagree and do so in no uncertain terms.
