Good point. O-Rod has no festival dates in her schedule and has just started a world tour. There’s a good argument that her dates line up much better for a headline set in 2025.

How’re we doing, international contingent? Are plans being made? Flights being booked? Arrangements lining up? I booked my flights a couple of weeks ago, el cheapo once again so that locks it all in. The itinerary sorts itself out due the immovable dates of the festival. Just a bit of accommodation to sort out now.

The reason I put Coldplay lower is because I think of any headliner, they’d be the most fluid in a ‘here if you need us’ way, meaning they could well be bumped if the festival were able to bag someone else for their spot, and they’d probably be fine with that. I also think a GSH means almost nothing when it comes to Coldplay, given it’s likely they’ll try to be there anyway if they can. Ok, fine. 52.5%.

I don’t think there’s anything in the SZA rumour, personally. I think we’re looking at: Dua: 85% Coldplay: 51% …and a wildcard nobody has enough info about to be sure.

Her Eras tour started in March last year so would have been planned long before G23 headliners were locked in. She was obviously booked for G20 but she’s gone stratospheric since, even by her standards. If she’s going to play, I think it’ll be either side of a fallow year, so 2026 at the earliest.

What if that backup was already called and is already locked in? Is it time to smash the glass and give Thom a call as well?

At least we’re pretty much all agreed it’s the poster as first announcement now, then? Emily already said she’d like a big announcement in the New Year. In the absence of that, it’s either chaos as they try and find at least one replacement headliner, or they can’t announce yet because act(s) have contractural obligations to other event(s) when it comes to announcements.

She’d need to be playing in Paris to follow the Who/Reg trend.
