  1. Yeah bet Axl’s gonna be shaking in his pointy cowboy boots.
  2. Cheers for this. Had never heard of them before and very much enjoyed it. It'll be the type when i come to looking at best albums of the year I'll have forgotten about but be pleasantly surprised when I have another listen. I Want to Start a Religion With You and Blood in the Milk my standouts.
  3. Yeah that’s a worry. Download felt pretty special but I guess they’d make a bigger deal out of that. Confident Axl will sound fine but meh I’ll be too drunk to really care by that point.
  4. If they’re any worse than The Who then they’d have to be trying quite hard to fuck up. I think they’ll do great, but it won’t be an all time classic.
  5. You’re right. I think when it comes to festival headliners, especially for one of the biggest in the world, progress isn’t always gonna be linear. There’ll be years where we’ll have Dua Lipa and Taylor Swift and other years where we’ll have Arctics and Coldplay.
  6. Oh yeah I forgot about that. To be clear I’ve seen the videos from last year (and had mates who went) who said Axl was poor so understand the skepticism but I think (and hope) they were just isolated incidents due to the illness he had around the same time. Totally get there not for everyone regardless but I think it’s a solid headliner which me and mates are pretty excited for.
  7. Na Neil’s just heard that them and Arctics are the other two.
  8. Elton is massive obvs. AM is absolutely huge. Have no interest at all at seeing them on the Pyramid but the field will be packed. GNR comfortably the weakest of the three but still a massive booking imo. I get some people don’t like them but the way some have been reacting like it’s end times for the festival is laughable. I can only comment from when I saw them in 2018 and they were brilliant so hopefully we get more of the same.
  9. Still upset about Taylor fobbing you off eh?
  10. It’s a strong trio, whatever you think about the headliners.
  11. Not enough GNR for me, Dua out GNR in.
  12. Well Emily Eavis hasn’t come out and said they’re not headlining no. But bands that are headlining festivals like Neighbourhood Weekender generally aren’t big enough to headline Glasto. They’d make a good sub.
  13. Yeah was great when I saw him at Manc Academy, always so much fun. Gonna see him again in January on his small shows tour. Seen him 11 times now and always find myself at one of his shows when he tours again.
  14. Chuffed and a little surprised to see The Bear take the top spot, was my favourite of the year, ‘Braciole’ was a sensational episode, as well as ‘Review’ before it. Glad it’s getting the plaudits it deserves.
  15. I meant their tour dates for next year. They haven’t got consecutive dates in different cities at all. I’d be very very surprised if they’re playing and it’s not on Friday.
  16. They’re playing Glasgow on Sunday and don’t tend to do consecutive nights in different cities.
  17. Don’t worry, Guns will smash their Pyramid slot
  18. Only suprefan is able to have a brain big enough to know such obscure acts like Jessie Ware, BCNR, Sam Fender, Bicep, Sasha & Digweed and Fontaines DC
  19. It’s been said before but worth saying again, the market for Glastonbury headliners must be incredibly small. A few tenner bets would be enough to shift the odds considerably.
  20. I’m a metal fan but don’t think Ghost would headline the Other. I reckon Slipknot would be in with more of a shout though, would never happen like but don’t think it would be too out of place.
  21. I know, he's actually good.
  22. Can think of quite a few reasons why he wouldn't but I'm still holding out hope for Roger Waters in the legend slot, main issue is he's probably too big for it but I can dream.

    KISS

Think it was the first time I’d heard of Kiss tbf, Love Gun still goes hard, if you’ll pardon the pun. Great movie though agreed

Would you not go and see them just to be 100% sure that you hate them?
  25. Doesn't stop other acts from charging £35 for a t shirt. For what it's worth I got a t shirt from the Leeds show and it's decent quality, quite soft too. They could have charged more if they wanted but they didn't so that should be commended rather than trying to look for negatives in why they did it.
