  1. Full Corinne Bailey Rae latest album then
  2. Yeah, reminds me of how crowds used to be in the UK.
  3. If you like Gaslight Anthem then Spanish Love Songs are well worth a listen! Lauran Hibberd is great fun too, always good live and good humour. Not to be taken too seriously. Cleopatrick are pretty cool. Bit of a Royal Blood vibe but a bit heavier. The Xcerts are great live. Scottish rock band with pop punk elements. Dune Rats are a sick little skater punk band from Australia. Similarities to FIDLAR in their sound/vibe.
  4. How come Manchester has a new arena anyway, MEN or AO is a good arena.
  5. The 1 clash I really don’t want is Deftones vs Vampire Weekend
  6. Yeah same. Peace stage has to be the Truth. There is Earache thankfully because they’ve got Bob Vylan, Lambrini Girls and Cam Cole playing it. Earache is on the Glasto website when you go to the Shangri La page.
  7. I hope so, really need a stage full of Williams Green smaller acts. Would love to see somewhere we can get bands like Snayx and Bad Nerves.
  8. I’d say Nothing But Thieves are a must, great live band too and fit with your guitar based comment. Soccer Mommy is great but on the softer side of indie. High Vis sound decent. Does Avril Lavigne count? Defo some guitars in there. I agree this year does seem a bit thin. Not loads on Shangri La either but they’ve just announced Bob Vylan and Lambrini Girls who are also both worth a listen, both a bit more punky though.
  9. Discovered these from this lineup and they’re great!
  10. Yeah I’m pretty similar with clashes. Electric Callboy/Royal Republic another annoying one. Reckon I’ll go Billy Talent, Green Day and Corey Taylor as he plays some Slipknot and Stone Sour. Sunday is the best day for me. My probable schedule below. Fri: Against The Current/The Interrupters/Dogstar/Royal Republic/Billy Talent/Green Day/Broilers Sat: Atreyu/Of Mice & Men/Counterparts/Malevolence/While She Sleeps/Machine Head/Corey Taylor/Parkway Drive/End of Body Count Sun: Royal Blood/Enter Shikari/Dropkick Murphy’s/QOTSA/Speed over to Neck Deep/Beartooth/Avenged Sevenfold/End of Pennywise
  11. Yeah, feeling this more than ever these days. Think going forward I’m going to try to stick to events like Glastonbury and 2000 trees unless there’s a band I’ve never seen playing elsewhere. Go to independent venues etc. I feel like the festivals only end up going the way of R&L and the user/goer is getting less out of the experience and is constantly being sold something when I think a festival should be something to get away from your usual normal.
  12. On the AccessTicket app do you have to have data whilst using to get your wristband or will it work without?

    Avalon 2024

Would watch Baby Queen, Frank Turner, The Feeling, Kate Nash & Skindred if there’s no clashes.
  14. Assume they’ll be playing the same time as Phoenix?
  15. First announcement with The Hunna headliner and another TBA. £50. Seems a bit steep but enjoyed it last year so might be worth a go. Only states 2 venues so far though so hope they’re adding more as thought it worked well with the 4 venues/5 stages last year.
  16. Pierce The Veil in Cardiff was incredible last night. Much better than Enter Shikari were a few months ago in the same venue. Probably showing my age here but not a fan of how much people film at gigs these days though, there were a few songs where nearly the whole crowd was filming and I think it really kills the atmosphere and it feels like you aren’t really getting lost in the moment through a lens of a screen. Wouldn’t mind more bands going down the Jack White route, be nice to have what comedy shows have.
  17. Outstanding podcast this. Everyone that goes to festivals need to give it a listen.
  18. Scouting for girls will be a good shout before heading to the end of LCD. Shame Ocean Colour Scene aren’t the Friday or Sunday or they’d be my headliner. Think that’ll be rammed.

    Spotify playlists

https://lineuplist.live/customize?festival=glasto&year=2024 Found this on this forum I think and basically you can add all the artists you want and how many songs per artist etc. Pretty useful tool to get started or if you can’t be bothered to create your own
  20. Bucket list artist for me, gonna be the set of the weekend on the Sunday and probably my headliner.
  21. I think I prefer the one trip and done despite how hard it can be. Been to a lot of festivals and only done 1 (that I can remember) 2 tripper and hated having to go back, never again.
  22. A very good fishing trolley with two thick wheels is the one, had it years and never failed me. Pump the tires up pre festival. 4 wheelers always seem to break and the trolleys with small wheels won’t hack it either, the trolley stand too low to the ground is always a bit of a disaster too.
  23. Yeah also hoping NBT are Friday but have a bad feeling they may stick them on while Shania is on.
  24. Surey a reason to charge less and not more?
  25. Really hoping Soccer Mommy and Corinne don’t clash. Are we thinking that’s likely? Or will acts be added above SM to push her down so they don’t clash?
