Cheers for this response mate. Exactly the reassuring nudge I needed to lock it in as a definite. I think Leon Bridges set a on West Holts clashes , but there is 45 mins for him to get across afterwards. I’ve gone west holts to park in that time, and he will prob have access to a car and some sneaky access lanes. Then again I hadn’t just finished a full guns blazing set of my own ha Sampa the Great is on park stage earlier that day, so could be a shout for take care your dreaming verses maybe ?

Really keen to see avalanches on Saturday eve before Macca just wondered if anyone has seen them live on this tour? I love all three records they have put out, but have no idea what current live proposition is like? Have read older tour comments from people on this thread before suggesting they have ranged from incredible to very underwhelming depending on their show at the time (and I am also guessing some of the previous booze challenges one of them had) recent setlists look to lean on the new album pretty heavy which is totally understandable , but they still drop some bangers from the first two (frontier psychiatrist looks unlikely tho :() is it really just a dj set, are there any real ‘live’ elements ? Might we get guests / features? kind of looking for it to be massive party set to get Sat going before macca later, or at least back load the party tunes so it finishes in that spirit Mindful some of new album is a bit calmer / slow (but still excellent), bit concerned it might not be the party set I am hoping for plus the park to pyramid transfer afterwards is a bit of a concern , altho I reckon I have got it down if good ground conditions shall I just shut up and get stuck into this , or am I right to be having potential reservations ? p.s as a random aside I have always pronounced the band name avalanchees rather than avalanches . No idea where this has come from , as clearly written the latter. Have I just totally made this up or might have heard radio DJs referred to them with the ‘chees’ pronunciation?? Spent a couple of hours in antic teatre once arrived yesterday. Great recommendation. Lovely little sun trap and secluded patio garden which is 2 mins from our apartment. Thanks again , would never have found it ourselves , can see this becoming our ‘home’ bar for a early afternoon beer

Could we get ‘there she goes’ and ‘o children?’, I didn’t see them in any recent setlists pretty new to cave but they were some of my favs on the best of album on Spotify , was dissapointing when it appeared unlikely to get then maybe a slim chance now?

Possibly looking to tap a bit of local knowledge here. I’ve been to Barca before and done some touristy bits but didn’t have time for much drinking in the eves (other than with dinner) My friends and I are going to be staying in and apartment near the Palau de la musica. any idea for any good bar squares where we could catch a few drinks on the Wednesday eve? Would we be best looking at somehere in gothic quarter ? also any good tips for a bar that would show the Wales v Scotland/Ukraine football match on Sunday which would be 6pm local time. There is a Spain match on that day but not until 8.45pm so shoudlnt be a direct clash

Ah good that it’s not an early one anyway. Yeah I would say just head off real early even if that means a pretty frightening wake up time. Worst case you arrive nice and early and have time to deal with a large que, best case it’s not as bad as I have made out , you sail through and can grab a nap gateside (or have a couple of breakfast beers in bar). Sure it will all be absolutely fine , but if you were on the fence about that extra 30 mins in bed etc , hopefully this is the nudge you need to set the alarm clock earlier i share your general anxiety though. I live 15 mins drive from airport and I’m still loathe to get too excited in case something scuppers me between now and my Wednesday am flight. Feel like I can’t fully mentally commit until the plane touches down Spain side

Apologies mate. Was not my intention, just wanted those travelling through to be well aware of the recent and ongoing delays. I believe they are hugely undermanned in terms of airport staff what day / time you flying out?

Bristol has been having an absolute shocker for 5-6 weeks now. Anyone flying out of there get there v early , esp if on a reasonably early flight. Especially if you have to check a bag. Apparently it does tend to improve a bit as the day goes on , but it’s a regular horror show in the mornings (lots of early flights scheduled)

Wow would be over the moon with that setlist (obvs with no understanding of quality of new 3 tunes) pretty light on the last two albums. That works for me though as I prefer the albums before.

What kind of set can we expect from the national ? Have they stopped pushing last album now . Are we gonna get a festival setlist of first 4 album bangers

Just watched BC camplight in Bristol. Absolutely loved it. Wasn’t necessarily expecting a full band and was blown away. Also one or two of the stripped back solo piano songs were fantastic. much more than I had bargained for , strong recommend to anyone considering

Does this War on Drugs Bristol Monday announcement mean we think they will be added to Glasto lineup later at some point ? Or have they been ruled out prior? just had a glance at their tour dates and doesn’t appear any clash on the weekend. might have asked to be kept off poster to sell own gig tickets first ? also if added where do we think they would place ?
