  1. That's true. But I'm not sure who is touring that would be a more 'heritage' WH headliner.
  2. Kiwanuka I reckon. He's got some headline slots here and there now and has one ready to roll at Holts.
  3. We're doing what we always do. Trying to add logic to predicting when the announcements will be based on what we can see going on in the world. Current events, when other festivals are announcing, what's on telly that night.... In reality, they will probably have a date planned some time in advance that they're working to, based on factors behind the scenes that we don't know and can't estimate, like artist demands. I know that's boring but whatever.
  4. Who gives a shit? It's a music festival. Pales into insignificance against what's happening in Ukraine.
  5. That's fine. I just meant going and getting lists of acts playing the various festivals since the system has been down for you to be able to add to the system, if you need it. Obviously it's something we can all find and access and complete quite quickly, but maybe time-consuming for one person to do alone.
  6. "Billie Eilish is American mate. Dab down old son" should have been the response.
  7. We were pretty doubtful of it three weeks ago.
  8. Yeah. Shit’s weird but they’ve picked that lane for whatever reason.
  9. It’s unofficial. It’s wrong, as it suggests all three are over the same weekend. I suppose they’ll release a poster when they release more names on Monday.
  10. @Neil@eFestivals If you need help getting lists of all the acts that have been announced for all the various festivals, I’m sure many of us would be happy to help out.
  11. In Germany they had The Cure and Foo Fighters headlining the same night at a festival in 2019. I recall Black Sabbath and The Black Keys both being headliners at Lollapalooza and playing at the same time in about 2012. So not strictly dance acts or ‘smaller’ acts. Historically, too. IOW 1970 didn’t have its headliners on last. I dare say Glastonbury probably hasn’t always strictly had the headliner close the Pyramid Stage. So yeah, headliner is just a title given to the acts the festival thinks is most important. If festivals can secure more acts who want or deserve headline status that way then there’s nowt to complain about.
  12. To cover up massive painting of Marge Simpson naked.
  13. She's headlining. If they call her a headliner, she's a headliner. Her stage or where she plays on it doesn't matter. She's headlining Parklife too, despite not playing last on that stage. Lewis Capaldi is before her, he's also a headliner. It's just a title at the end of the day. Something to give artists to keep them sweet. Most festivals are doing it nowadays. Kylie and Janet Jackson, as names on the top line of the poster, could have been labelled 'headliners' by Glastonbury. They weren't, but it wouldn't have changed anything if they were.
  14. She's playing wherever someone will pay her. Glastonbury ghosted.
  15. Nina Nannar Nannar Na Nina Nannar Nannar Gettin jiggy with it
  16. Did we know about Omar Souleyman touring around Glastonbury 2022? 22nd at London Jazz Cafe 23rd at Liverpool 24 Kitchen Street (awful venue name if not just a house) The dates aren't new but I feel like I'd have seen it mentioned already. Also... collab?
  17. Worthy Pastures was £175 per person. When you consider that Glastonbury is £280 with hundreds of live performers, Worthy Pastures was a bargain.
