Neil's been posting and has aired my question about when it's coming. I reckon he knows.
Then again he hasn't told us to stand by our beds yet.

@eFestivals when's it coming?

Two penalty shoot wins for Huddersfield! They deserved it on the day to be fair. It's good to see two fresh teams coming up in Brighton and Huddersfield. I fancy they will both do well.
Huddersfield scored 56 and conceded 58 in the Championship this season, finishing 5th, and won the play offs via three draws and two penalty shoot outs. They're fucked.
As a Yorkshireman, with Huddersfield being my favourite Yorkshire team besides Doncaster (who I support), I'm very glad they got promoted, but they're fucked.
Unless they buy a lot of players.

2016:
3rd Other - Bring Me the Horizon, The 1975, Catfish and the Bottlemen
Park headliners - Richard Hawley, Phillip Glass' Heroes Symphony
2015:
3rd Other: Courteeners, The Maccabees, Belle and Sebastian
Park headline - Super Furry Animals, Jon Hopkins, Ryan Adams
2014:
3rd Other - Interpol, Manic Street Preachers, Bombay Bicycle Club
Park headline - Metronomy, Mogwai, James Blake
Cba to go any further but the acts playing 3rd Other are almost always bigger than Park headliners, but Park headliners tend to be either more established or more alternative acts with cult followings, probably why Russy thinks they're bigger acts
I'd say Belle and Sebastian are the only act in that list who could, size-wise, have played the other slot.

It's a bit of a weird one, they are all young and very current/popular in the U.K. Globally and historically I'd say Flaming Lips are the bigger band. I guess it's just the difference between the two stages and the sort of acts you see on them (plus my perception of being mid thirties and having no interest at all in those three bands) I'd hazard a guess that if you looked back at 3rd down on Other for the three days 5/6 years ago more than half would have disappeared into obscurity by now. That's jus a pure guess of course and could be completely wrong.
Yeah that's why I mentioned about Park headliners tending to be more established acts. Even if a lot of the acts have disappeared into obscurity now, I don't doubt that at the time they played they'll have been bigger than the Park headliners.

Is it Led Zeppelin or is it The Beatles?

The Prodigy sounds good and would also make me very fucking happy !
"I'm sorry Mr Eavis but the crowds weren't safe when Radiohead and Pulp played at the Park. You can't have any secret sets like that there anymore."

When's the lineup coming folks? Winners earn bragging rights and a high five from me at the festival.
Don't take him up on this offer he'll drug you and your friends.

It's possible the events in Manchester pushed that date back though, obviously we'll probably never know but there was a noteable few days of nothing being announced.
I doubt they changed the date of the full announcement. They'll have contracts with thousands of acts that state what date it gets announced. I reckon we should have had WH and Arcadia Tue/Fri that week and WH got pushed back to Thu because of Manchester.

Could also be a singer. Lana del Rey will release her new album soon, and there are 3 male headliners...
She isn't the size of Radiohead/Pulp.

hm, fair point. But we pretty much know T&C is coming Thursday. Would it not be weird if it didn't get space for attention the way the other stages did? Early Thursday for T&C + Friday afternoon for full lineup might be a compromise.
Maybe they realised that literally no one in the world gives a flying fuck about T&C.
Then again they announced Unfairground separately.

Must be a contractual thing. They must have some artists signing contracts that they can't be announced before June 1st. They wouldn't hold it back for the lols
Well the line-up will have been sorted ages ago so they will have been holding it back for whatever reason.
Festivals will have announcement dates set in stone and work towards that date. If it's Thursday then they'll have decided on that date a while back and worked to make sure it's ready in advance of that. If they end up being ready a week in advance of that planned date they'll still wait until that date rather than just releasing it on a whim.

Couple days could easily be next week. My money is on T&C Thursday, full lineup next Tuesday.
Am not having that they won't release the line-up until 2 weeks before the festival. Neil thinks it's this week, too.

You think third down other is more prestigious than headlining park? I disagree.
Not that it matters like
Bring Me the Horizon, The 1975 and Catfish and the Bottlemen played 3rd down Other last year.
Richard Hawley, Phillip Glass' Heroes Symphony and Grimes headlined Park last year.
3rd down Other is clearly a bigger slot. Park headliners in general would be nearer the bottom of Other than the top.
Headlining Park may be a more favourable slot to some, and you probably get more interesting/established acts there than third down Other, but definitely not bigger acts.

Fucksake.
You don't need a couple of days just give us it now!!!

Hmm so an act the size of Radiohead/Pulp, touring in 2017, but not Arcade Fire or Gorillaz.
Kasabian lol?

Can't imagine The xx doing a secret set when they're already on the bill would be classed as a 'big secret' by Emily. Bit of a shit secret ain't it? Definitely another act.
Don't think we're on about the big secret, are we? Just a secret set at the Park that this poster has mentioned.
Has to he Gorillaz or Arcade Fire from the info given, surely. I don't see why someone working in a bar in the area would know, though.

Yeah I know they've taken a bit of a decline in popularity over the years but from Other to Park seems a bit much. Definitely a bigger than usual Park headliner. Wonder who the others will be if they continue that trend.

In having to replace one of their main stage headliners I doubt they filled it by moving another of their main stage headliners. Plus Clean Bandit won't have been lower than JP subs so Annie Mac would have had to be moved from some other random slot. I reckon Dizzee was mid-Other or Pyramid where they could just replace him with any old shiter.

I'm not in work until 4:30 tomorrow so a 10am drop would be perfect.

It's be strange for the full line up with times to be online without T&C
Yeah I know it is but we've had a couple of people say Tuesday and T&C have confirmed theirs is coming Thursday. We have had stages announce separately after the big announcement, but I think they were before times came out.

The Kills are definitely out, busy everyday. Honeyblood i'd imagine are pretty likely
Oh what's this about The Kills? Their website only has them busy on Saturday and their Songkick has them free every day. Bit lame if they are out.

Yeah lineup tomorrow morning with T&C announcing separately on Thursday looks most likely to me.
