Did anyone predict Dizzee for that slot? Seems they really are going all out on grime this year.

Neil told us this morning that he was there. Seemingly replaced ATCQ who pulled out due to injury.

  2. I doubt they'll be able to change when the big one comes out. They'd surely have to contact every act on the bill to change their agreement on when it gets announced?

I would have expected T&C/Arcadia to come out Tue/Fri this week and then the biggie sometime next week.

I expect the biggie to still come next week whenever it was initially planned for, with either one or both of this week's announcements being pushed back.

I guess the one we were supposed to get on Tuesday will come today, and then the other one either tomorrow or (if they don't want them that close together) pushed back to either the weekend or Monday.

This sounds like the best route down for me. Does anyone here hate me enough to drive up to Sheffield and plough into me whilst doing my practical?

I'm in Doncaster so just gimme a shout when you need it done.

On the other side of that coin... One of my friends was about 10 minutes into his exam when someone crashed into the back of him, totally their fault.  Got a pass as the examin didn't see anything in that 10 minutes to give him a major or however many minors it is to fail.

What I'm saying here.. Is ideally you want to get involved in a non-fault crash on your test!

After that good deed of telling people a trick to get us all driving licences I think I deserve an announcement, Eavii...

My uncle spent his entire test sat in a traffic jam. Couldn't ask for it any easier.

I missed that bit about it being in October, I would've thought it would've been sooner if he's doing festivals in the Summer.

Before I saw that I was gonna ask in here if we'd heard anything since that Amazon listing saying it was out tomorrow. Pretty poor for those festivals who've got him appearing in prime slots if it isn't gonna be out until October. He'll be subbing Reading and Leeds without an album!

Of the folk on the poster he's definitely one of the most likely candidates.  If Justice are on the Sunday them there's only really him or RTJ that you could see doing it.

And RTJ would surely be a better choice. Hoping this means RTJ were already in a prominent slot (Sat JP headline) whilst Dizzee was in mid-Other obscurity and therefore easily replaceable.

yeah, i often do, but the info used to do that is rarely given to me as uncertain info (as this was) even if it might sometimes turn out to be wrong.

Fair enough boss, fair enough. Just thought at first you hadn't realised he was already on the poster.

yeah, it's deliberate. We know he's playing, but him headlining west holts isn't the most solid of info

Oh I thought you normally put the 'confirmed' listing under the stage you thought they were on, even if the position wasn't definite. Fair.

and you're talking about them in this thread, why...?

Just seen that you've put Dizzee down as SR under Friday WH. He's already been announced and you've also got him down as confirmed for unknown day, any stage.

  10. Radiohead on the Pyramid stage, finally seeing Justice for the first time, and hopefully RTJ headlining a tent.

Don't think I could really have asked for any more than that of my three headliners.

The Saturday one obviously isn't confirmed but it's looking more likely by the second.

With the Foos, Alt-J and Warpaint taking three of the other Saturday headine slots it's already looking very rock/indie. Having an act like RTJ in there seems more likely than a FJM or something similar as yet unannounced.

    I'm quietly confident.

Yeah that was one of my reasons for beginning to hope RTJ would be there. You'd expect an electronic/hip-hop act in there considering the alternatives. And now Bonobo and Dizzee are ruled out, here we go.

If seventeen hours in I'm not feeling Foos set I may make the journey over to the John Peel for this if it's where they end up. Saw them at both Primavera and Glastonbury in 2015 and both sets were incredible so wouldn't mind doing a repeat this year either.

 Forgot that I'd probably be able to catch some Foos first. Dunno if I'd bother but it's a nice option to have.

Does look promising. Of course another act from the lineup (or even an unannounced one) could unexpectedly jump in and be the headliner in the end, but together with JP sub looking like the best place for DJ Shadow to end up I'd put my money on this being where RTJ end up now. Thankfully seeing them at Primavera so won't worry too much about missing them but them headlining a tent is the ideal scenario and I'm sure it'll be ace.

I can't imagine a funner set at Glastonbury than RTJ headlining the JP. It's gonna be a riot. Or a crushing disappointment when I find out they are mid-Other.

    I'm starting to believe

I couldn't tell if I was just predicting it out of hope at first but as each other act has been ruled out it's started to look very likely. Especially with DJ Shadow seeming like he'll be on that stage, too.

Is there anyone else who could realistically even take the slot now? Father John Misty right size but doesn't feel like a JP headliner and would be a poor alternative to what's already on offer.

Obviously could be someone not yet announced but I doubt that, the line-up in that size-region is already pretty stacked.

  15. Great news for me. And to think my main reason for not worrying about RTJ replacing them was the fact it'd involve rearranging more of the line-up  I guess Dizzee would have been mid-Other or something anyway and easily replaceable.
