Sorry to echo (almost) everyone on this thread, but as an avid attendee of events where touts do operate (concerts, football & other sporting events), I have seen the effect of this scourge on me & my friends. Anything, ANYTHING, that can be done to counter it is something I’m all for - even if I’ve missed out on occasion because of the strict rules. For Glastonbury to “police” whether causes are deemed worthy or not would be a logistical and administrative nightmare. Would lead to potential abuses and claims of favouritism. Better then to have a single, blanket, unflinching rule for everyone.

It's not like they are headlining

Manics & Texas are ideal for Glastonbury. Feel good, sing-along pop/indie. The 40-something crowd reliving their youth, I expect the 20-somethings seeing them as retro/remember hearing their folks playing them when they were kids. The fact is, that type of music isn't produced anymore by newer acts.

Alt-J, saw them on the other... probably 2014? And I thought they got lost somewhat on a stage that size. Hoping they play headline in JPT/Woodies. Hvae yet to catch Royal Blood, so happy with that.

Last year, in at least two locations. Know I saw them at the glade post-PSB

Absolutely gutted. Had no email about WV or Sticklinch at all, despite having secured tickets and stayed there 2/3 of the last Glastonbury’s. Any idea what the resale situation is with this?

The "I'm going to Glastonbury 2023" thread
BigMarv replied to Supernintendo Chalmers's topic in Chat
I am honestly shocked. Tried (ad nauseum). Came to terms with not going. Then get a call. Asked by a friend if we had got through (we hadn’t). But we had all received confirmation emails. Confusion reigned. None of our group had entered details. Turns out, we had been added to a pool. Someone got through at 10:15. Net result: GOING TO THE FARM IN 2023! -
Same question at Worthy View. Very odd.

I'm serious. Tangfastics are integral to my festival experience.

Yep, not on the prohibited items list. Surely not that difficult to change that. Does this include haribo packets!?

What are we expecting from Tim Burgess? He’s appearing more than once (Greenpeace / Williams Green…). Will it be full band? Solo/acoustic? DJ? Juggling/Magic?

Four Tet has been played quite a bit today. I really struggle to get the hype though.
