  1. Was meant to be larger this year, I thought? Same size.
  2. Getting there is the challenge.
  3. It’s only anecdotal, but I heard so many people talking about accessing the festival without a ticket, bunging a few quid here & there, Swapping wristbands. I’m sure it’s not a ridiculous amount, but still contributory.
  4. It’s just too busy. Far too busy. Dangerously busy. At a guess, maybe 80-90% capacity? The issue is that with a huge crowd & lack of big names, then the medium sized acts on the Thursday become hugely overcrowded (Mel C, Sasha last year. Example, Eats everything this year). Those acts that wouldn’t command 20% of their Thursday crowds over the weekend become over subscribed. Not sure the solution, but Thursday needs to be re-thought.
  5. Aside from EJ, Leftfield are my absolute must not miss this year. Aged raver here, but to my shame I’ve never seen Leftfield. Nice evening into FBS & then some Stanton Warriors if I’ve still got the energy!
  6. Slated for 12-3 Saturday night/Sunday morning on the Nowhere Stage (Shangri-La). Seemingly nothing concrete about who is playing. Salute said he’s doing the “essential mix stage” 2300-0000. That aside nothing I can see. Any thoughts?
  7. I wouldn’t want it, however as an ‘easy’ headline replacement, would say Ed Sheeran would be a go to. Limited production required. Headliner sized. Free.
  8. I take spirits with me, buy mixers as required & if I want a cold beer/cider then accept the cost. Hauling heavy cans around is a pain and the pay off is always usually warm drinks. I’m there to enjoy myself, never know when the next one will be, hang the cost.
  9. Yes please to this forecast remaining unchanged

    The churnups

I’m not sure. Because I was up there for Radiohead & didn’t make an attempt for Pulp. And strategy was justified.
  11. Completely unoriginal, but I think I’ll be spending more time at the pointy stage than I have ever done previously. This is in part due to my girlfriend’s tastes in addition to mine. But expect to be there for all/some of: Arctic Monkeys, Lizzo, Lewis Capaldi, Rick Astley, Aitch, Elton John, Texas, Churnups, Blondie, Sophie EB, maybe the Chicks, Cat Stevens too.
  12. - Stanton Warriors - Dub Pistols - Bushwacka
  13. It was terrible last year. I really hope they’ve got it sorted. If you were outside the Glade tent, or towards the Glade dome (old glade) side then you couldn’t enjoy it.
  14. I can only think Pyramid or Other as an earlier act. Having earned it over the years?
  15. There’s no Dub Pistols. Where are The Dub Pistols? Either a bump onto a bigger stage. Another stage that’s yet to announce. Or… not at all. Hope it’s not the latter.
  16. Stonebridge, like any busy club/gig, is usually rammed at the entrance and then once you break through is much more reasonable. Everyone stops when it gets crowded - understandably - but is much easier/less crowded when you break through. That said; it was an absolute roadblock for Eats Everything & Fourtet last year. Hope the bigger tent & better scheduling reduces it.

    Jabba The Slut

I wondered if, after her mandalorian stint, this was a lizzo alias 🤷‍♂️

    The Park 2023

I really like Alt-J and was really excited about them on the Other stage a few years back. Came away very underwhelmed, felt they didn’t have the presence for a huge stage. As you say it may also be the intricacy of their sound. Was really hoping that they would one day be in JPT/Woodsies, and was hoping for that to be this year. Park as a more intimate stage would be better I think. Alas, not to be. The clash with Reg just rules them out.
  19. Also waiting for this. Was thinking possibly park, but nothing to back that up.

    Site Map 2023

Am I the only one worried that there won’t be any actual music in the Glade this year? There’s still the glade stage (not in the glade), but last years glade lounge, in the glade doesn’t seem to be there. Granted, the sound bleed between those stages was horrendous, but I hoped they might do something clever rather than get rid of music in the glade.
  22. Haven’t they done this already?
