  1. Obviously because I’m aware of the voice actors changing I can notice the odd little difference here and there, but honestly, if I didn’t know I’d never have noticed a thing judging by this trailer. Hope the series can match the quality of the voice acting:
  2. Was an absolute train wreck when I saw her at Primavera last year, but you better believe I’m still gonna go to this Manchester date. Here’s hoping she’ll actually have an album released by then, although I’m not gonna hold my breath on that one…
  3. Considering Bad Bunny wasn’t rebooked for 2021/22 after being on the 2020 lineup I think he’s probably gotten too expensive.
  4. If there was no tour planned alongside these Q&As then I can’t see it ever happening. They’re not getting any younger and if they haven’t been able to squash their beef by now then it’s probably never gonna happen. Obviously there’s always a small chance they’re just being coy, but seems most likely that it took a lot just to get them in a room together and that’s where it’ll end, unfortunately.
  5. New Kylie album is an absolute banger fest, and seems to be getting rave reviews across the board. Do the right thing Emily and just get Kylie back to headline.
  6. New Blink: One More Time’s not bad, although more of a meaningful statement song about their past than a particularly great song in itself, but More Than You Know is a banger and seems like a great continuation of their self-titled and Neighborhoods sound. Didn’t think I’d get caught up in the reformation hype, but gotta say I’m pretty excited for the new album.
  7. They’re not big enough and they barely sell out the smaller venues they play here, but what with them being local lads they’ve probably just decided ‘f**k it’ and gave it a shot, maybe in the hope that their next album will give them a bit of a bump in success and it won’t seem like such a crazy idea come the time of the show. I imagine tickets will be cheaper than a usual arena show too to compensate.
  8. The couple of snippets they played in their announcement trailer all sounded much better than Edging, and even if the entire album sucks, there will definitely be an appetite for them at the festival. Reckon their day will be a big seller regardless of who else is playing.

    2024 Headliners

If Foals had been around and gotten as big as they eventually did pre-2009, back before the festival stopped (for the most part) giving artists a leg up and instead just settled on to certified music mega headliners all of the time, then they probably would’ve been one of those acts who got a leg up and topped the bill, but alas they came about too late a were relegated to Pyramid sub instead and that’s definitely as high as they’re ever gonna get now (and presumably where they’ll play next time they’re booked, although hopefully not for a few years now - they need to f**k off for a bit).
  10. Tours going on sale two years in advance is nuts, especially for somebody like Simply Red where the tickets are hardly gonna be flying out.
  11. New Blink album October 20. I thought Edging was f**king shite, but I’m still pretty excited for this, if only for the nostalgia factor.
  12. If it’s genuinely their most requested headliner and they’re not just blowing smoke then it’s gotta be Gizz.
  13. New album tomorrow. Early opinions seem to be that it’s much better than the last one, with some saying it’s their best in a long time. Won’t get my hopes up too much but the two singles were at least a good sign so here’s hoping.
  14. Busted were fine as a novelty booking but really don’t see them being booked as an out and out headliner. There would for sure be a large portion of the crowd who would love it, but I feel like it wouldn’t be a direction the festival would want to head in and would piss off a lot of people too.
  15. Chemical Brothers strike me as the kind of act the festival might’ve avoided previously due to maybe not being Pitchfork-y enough or whatever, but now that they’re willing to be a bit more flexible with their bookings hopefully there’s more of a chance, and they’d go down an absolute storm so seems like a no-brainer booking to me.
  16. Eerily similar, and tbh there might just be a chance that she absolutely loved Glastonbury and is happy to do it as a one off again, but would seem kind of strange to just snub all other festivals for a second time.
  17. Ah you’re most likely right about the no fests thing - completely passed me by, and doubtful she’s gonna do just Glastonbury again.
  18. Yeah she/her label massively f**ked up not having this released for festival season. So many feel good dancey bops. What she’s doing is hardly revolutionary, but damn is she doing it well.
  19. Yeah I thought she was gonna miss the next festival but that’s a pretty convenient little gap/end of EU run there. Gonna assume she’d sub rather than headline, and she’d fit under any of Madonna, Coldplay, Dua, and most other realistic headliner options for next year. I’d be front and centre!
  20. Second new album from Nas this year and last of his and Hit-Boy’s collaborations, Magic 3, dropping on Thursday.
  21. Seems to be the case that for bigger acts on the five main stages, if you release a new album between festivals then you have a chance of being rebooked, but it’s very rare that they rebook anybody on the same album/tour unless they absolutely blow up between festivals (Amy Winehouse going from middle of the day West Holts ‘07 to subbing the Pyramid ‘08 an example I can think of).
  22. I imagine after it reaches a sizeable position in the charts in its first week and all the TERFs have ‘made their point’ it’ll drop off pretty rapidly as they all stop pretending to like the music, much like happened with that Jason Aldean guy. FWIW, the album’s f**king ace, so it’s a real shame it’s been overshadowed and dampened by all of this as I would’ve loved to have seen her finally get the widespread recognition she deserves for her music. Be interesting to see where she goes from here.
  23. Not watched it yet but judging by some of the responses to it on socials, we’re probably not getting a reunion…
  24. f**king hilarious that Roisin is receiving the same treatment as that Try That in a Small Town guy in America and getting mass-bought and streamed to be boosted up the charts by all her new ‘fans’.

    2024 Headliners

2018 being a non-festival year and then COVID coming along in 2020/21 is the reason they’ve not played in a while as it all aligned with their albums and touring plans - reckon they could’ve subbed in ‘18 and/or headlined in ‘21 if the festival was on those years. Problem is, there are often just bigger or better options that take priority over them so they’re no doubt on the back burner until the festival is low on choices. Could very well do 2025 with a new album, but could just as easily be passed up once again.
