Great analogy! It just annoys me that they suggest there is a benefit to sitting back and waiting! I'm sure plenty of people took that at face value and ended up sans tickets. The only people it benefits is Ticketline and their clearly underspec'd servers!

Even just a legit queuing system would be better! It's so unfair to tell people that they're in a queue when the reality is very different.

The Good: Nina Nastasia, Avalanche Kaito, Joan Shelley, Daniel Norgren. Great good, great company. All of the installations and magical sh*t in the woods. Cocktails in a can. Not having phone signal for four days. The Bad: No Lageritas (though we made our own using frozen margaritas and beer... expensive though!) People talking even nearer the front for Daniel Norgren and Angel Olsen. Angel in particular I suspect suffered from having a 'I don't want to watch UMO' crowd'. The Ugly: The bit when the WIFI stopped working, the cash machines ran out and we got worried they must have to shut the festival (If people couldn't buy food!)

I always rank every band I enjoyed and only two out of my top ten were bands I'd heard of when the line up was announced. Def some new favs and back catalogues to dive into now. Would be happy to see Modest Mouse there.

My 'rule' is always go and watch band A. If I'm loving it I stay and don't think much about it beyond that, if not I wander over to band B! Always worked a charm. The pre-festival clashticipation is usually way worse than the reality.
