  1. That's irrelevant really when you have half the population regularly PCR tested, double jabbed and they cant even go to a supermarket without a mask. Its rubbing it in peoples faces that its one rule for the rich and one rules for everyone else. They have can have the semis and finals, couldnt care less.

  5. You’ve got to hand it to Melvin - while other festivals have been passively accepting what the government says and hoping for insurance to be offered, he’s spent the last year pushing and pushing. Right back to late spring last year he was talking about his Full Capacity plan when others were just happy to settle for socially distanced gigs. And he’s right in there with the test events. If he pulls off Latitude he’ll deserve an award.

  6. Kinocast has within the last couple of weeks put his full film footage up on YouTube from Glastonbury 1993, 95, 98, 99, 02, 04 & 05 Some quite long videos on here...but also really give a flavour of what it was like (Great for those of us who were too young to go!)

  7. Normally, Phase 3 RCT data is what is used for initial approval or registration of a new drug/vaccine (to be supplemented with real world use data and ongoing pharmacovigilance data at specified timepoints to hold onto the approval)...for the EUA submissions that all the vaccines have used, Phase 3 RCT data was what was required by the regulators (and in the EU, that approval converts to full approval within 12 months if they add in the extra data requested from additional trials in new cohorts that the vaccine wasn't approved for in the first place (adolescents and kids for example)). AZ did submit their Phase 3 data to the FDA, but they f*cked it up and sent in data that was out of date and gave an inaccurate view of performance (and they were hauled in to explain it). So, they are re-doing the submission with a new endpoint last I heard. I think they were looking at skipping EUA altogether and just going for full approval from the FDA since they now have enough endpoints for that and also have real world use data from elsewhere to bolster that submission. Pfizer have already gone ahead with their full approval submission too. The AZ issue in terms of accepting it for travel etc was flagged to me by mates in the NIH a while back (they suggested if I had a choice, take one of the FDA approved ones to avoid any hassle). The general feeling is that eventually, either AZ will get full approval from the FDA, or the US will loosen it's stance on which vaccines it will accept (likely to happen once the travel corridor with the EU opens up again later in the summer, since there are EU citizens vaccinated with AZ and the EU won't agree to letting US citizens into the EU but excluding some EU citizens from entry to the US simply on the basis that they had an EMA approved vaccine but not an FDA approved one....reciprocity is their buzzword!). So, unless you need to go now (when travel to the US is a pain in the arse anyway), it should be fine I'd expect.

  13. HAPPY DOWNLOAD DAY, YOU BEAUTIFUL BASTARDS! I slept like a log, have tested negative and text in to work pulling a sicky for today 😂 Aiming to leave Donny at 10am, meeting our mates from Selby at a services on the way and should be in that car park for a decent time! I’ll be wearing a Malevolence football top with GOOEY 25 on the back (or an Employed To Serve windbreaker if it’s raining) so come up, grab me and say hi if you spot me and we shall definitely beer. Have a fucking stunning weekend everyone; it’s been a long, long time coming. DOWNLOOOOOOAAAAAAD!!!

  20. Before Covid hit us, Faith No More were booked at both Rock Werchter and Graspop for 2020. Pretty sure we gonna have FNM back as headliner for the MS2 on Friday. Deep Purple are on tour again so they should be back on Sunday like 2020/2021. As Volbeat won't be there, Avenged Sevenfold seems the most natural headliner for the Friday. Nine Inch Nails are maybe as exclusivity at Hellfest and anyway the band looks not in the plan of Graspop. Five Finger Death Punch are more likely play at Graspop on Thursday or Saturday... or maybe play at RW on the same day as Metallica before coming one day as (co-)headliner at GMM. @Ken19has maybe some infos about FFDP!

  22. Yeah I can't wait, Wolf Alice on Friday will be amazing too, especially after Blue Weekend Saw an interview with Melvin and he's said it will probably be a test event if it can't happen normally but the fact he's been talking to government officials gives me a whole lot more confidence for it I wonder also if more festivals the same weekend will announce their plans now too

  23. Also on the WaterAid shopkeeper role for a week or so. Late July. Will be interesting I reckon. Intending to make the most of a week away from the last 16 months of weirdness and meeting people from far and wide. I went down my pub shed last night and a quick glance at Glastonbury corner gave me a bit of a neck mohican. On the Tor Monday evening 26th July with a flagon of Hecks. Last one to the tower is less fit than I am ☺️

  24. If they put all the day-tickets on sale on Wednesday, they will announce the Sunday headliner or at least 2 top bands / co-headliners like they did today with Twenty One Pilots and Faith No More.

  25. In 2018 Vodafone Paredes de Coura had announced Björk as a major name of the festival, she remembered to cancel the concert a few months before the Festival so Arcade Fire realized that the festival had a problem to solve and they gave up playing at three festivals to play on Vodafone Paredes de Coura. The festival owner told this in an interview , because I think Arcade Fire does not forget the past where they were welcomed .

  26. I’m totally bald so I can’t use my hairstyle and I’ll drink any old lager , craft or not, so I’m afraid I’ll have to join the ‘I prefer the early stuff’ gang if I’m going to try to establish any kind of hipster image. Haha. Can I start on another band though cos I like UM.

  32. JCVI 1-9 groups was 50+ and underlying health conditions wasn’t it? I would expect the vast majority of those 527 people to be in that category, rather than a lot of under 50s with no health conditions being admitted, which would be of a greater concern.

Not used this one personally but have had one similar which was a bit small for me (I'm 6'3") but this one seems a bit bigger https://www.decathlon.co.uk/p/camping-tent-mh100-fresh-black-2-person/_/R-p-313100 No porch though so maybe this one which is a bit over your budget but is bigger and has a very small porch area https://www.decathlon.co.uk/p/camping-tent-mh100-fresh-black-3-person/_/R-p-313085

  38. https://www.edp24.co.uk/news/will-latitude-festival-2021-go-ahead-8065770 Straight from the horses mouth, looks as if the government are potentially going to underwrite festivals if they need to cancel. I'm thinking we might get a little update today and potentially further announcements into next week such as lineup and day splits as a 'one month to go' sort of thing

  40. @Ken19 I read that Nine Inch Nails at Hellfest will be a European exclusive show. Do you possibly have any information whether that is true or not? Of course you don't have to confirm where else they would be playing, but I'd really like to know if it's just Hellfest or not.

  41. Of all the bands ever, there's a special circle of hell reserved for the Foo Fighters. What an absolute shower. They're like a particularly dreary set of office workers and this is their wacky dress-up day for charity. Is there a more tedious band in existence. I fucking hate them.

  45. im struggling a bit with the idea of an attractive, enjoyable Italy team. For all of my life theyve been the byword in dour, miserable, life-stultifyingly boring negative football and as such ive always revelled in their various failures, and been annoyed by their successes. Ugh, that 2006 team: absolute dog shit, yet they won . . . . anyways, my point is that ive had to change my mind on them and i dont like liking them!
