viberunner
Hey hi, Have the opportunity to go to a festival without the partner, I'm taking her to Kendal but she's disabled and it's a full time job for me, so she's offered me the chance to go to another festival on my todd to run around and get silly in the sun and/or splash around in the rain. I can front going to a festival Lone Wolf style, but also happy for a meet-up / camp-up. The more the merrier etc. Anyone else going to either of these (I'm undecided at the moment) and fancy chancing a meet? ta, VR
GlastoLuvvinJock
Hi VR I am Knockengorroching this year for the first time and if it is half as good as I have heard I cannot wait. I went to Eden in 2012 as my Glasto substitute and had a great time so would also recommend that one, but my brother has been to both and he reckons Knock is miles ahead of Eden. Would certainly be up for a meetup and a few beers. Regards S.
viberunner
Knock it is then. Have heard great things about it for years. I was in Eden in 2012 and it might have been okay but omfg it lashed with rain from start to finish, and as I was with the partner (who doesn't do well in the rain) it was a bit of a downer. Will give you a shout nearer the time.
GlastoLuvvinJock
If it's as good as I have been told you won't regret your decision, I am actually looking forward to Knock more than Glastonbury at the moment but that is maybe because it comes first. Eden 2012 was a nightmare with the rain and we missed Mr Motivator as a result because we chose to stay in the tent and wipe out our selection of spirits until the rain cleared, a decision I regretted once I heard how good he was. The only good thing about the rain was it kept the midges away, having lived in Somerset for 14 years I had forgotten how bad they are. Anyway give me a shout nearer the time and make sure I save you some of my Somerset farm cider which I shall squeeze into my flight bag. elfweirdigan
Make sure you get doon to the far end, beyond the Longhouse, to Weirdigans Cafe and the Acoustic Wierdspace (with real log stove for chilly nights).

GlastoLuvvinJock
Haven't been before but by all accounts it is a nice safe chilled festival, sounds ideal for families to me. Although I have chosen not to take any of mine this year ;-)
coco97
Indeed it does appear a good choice just don't want to be in the obvious minority . As you have kids, you'll know chilled and kids tend not to go hand in hand
