I have a date set up for friday but I don't think I really like the girl enough that anything serious would happen in the near future. I went out with her a couple of times before the summer and she is a nice girl but I don't look at her and think "I want to rip your clothes off now". (No matter how shallow that sounds I think it is an essential part of relationship.) Half of me was hoping she wouldn't text me when she was back up the road but she did and seems really keen to get things going. So what do I do? I want to text and say I don't want to see her but how can I say it in a nice way? Was thinking I should say something like I am kind of seeing someone so it wouldn't be right to go on a date but that would be totally dishonest. Nightmare.

13 years of singledom is nothing to be proud of.

Yes - in my opinion.

Never suggested anyone on here was a reject <_<

I merely thought the thread was for cataloguing one's progress in-and-out of singledom.

I was thinking some suggestion that you would use her as a toothpick, were something not likely to dribble down her legs into your mouth, would be humorous... though actually that's just a bit sick, on second thoughts!!!:D

I'm sure Worm agrees that the pen is mightier than the sword. And South Shields or wherever he is seems a little far to travel just for a spot of handbags at dawn! <_<

If it was me, I'd only arrange to meet one of those people. Then if it wasn't going well, I'd try another of those people. I wouldn't try them all at once! Does that make any difference, you might ask - I don't know, but I'd feel I wasn't leading anyone up the garden path my way. I don't mean to sound so judgmental though, should have said nowt. The way you put it does sound extremely casual, innocent and uncomplicated in fairness.

I have no idea if it's perfectly normal, and as to the second bit I don't intend to sit here, all high and mighty, denouncing your conduct hun! <_<

This is a bit deep this thread innit?

Kats - I personally don't think you did nowt wrong - If you were a bloke most other blokes (apart from possible Julius) would be patting you on the back for having five. At least the lads I know!

    • It would be piss-easy for a bot to manage, though.
    • I've heard that ticket sales for other events that use the same system have included the question 'are you still there?' on each window/browser you have with a place in the queue. If you don't confirm you are, it'll assume you're not and that place will drop.   I've no idea if Glasto/See will adopt this, but it would be challenging to keep on top of with many windows open.
    • People who're struggling are already priced out, so I don't think a bump in price will affect who attends. There'll still be a cross section, leaning young. I also think they'll do a soft breaking of the £400 ceiling, keeping the ticket price just below but having postage take it over. Next year the ticket itself will be over that threshold.

    • Not sure if this has been mentioned but new La Roux album out November - was meant to play in 2020 but hasn't found her way back onto a lineup. If any excuse just to hear this absolute banger on the fields next year!
