hm.interesting.it is really small possibility to garnier plays at fusion stage, maybe if that be live in concert.but i think its just a mistake, cause kos can`t play at 5 am,that is time for headliner of the evening.

MIA CANCELED EUROPEAN TOUR!

The young but already very decisive M.I.A. has cancelled the whole of her European tour mere days before the tour was due to begin.

The cancellation of her European tour, was announced by M.I.A. herself in the middle of a performance in New York, more specifically in the middle of her song “People vs. Money”, thus this year fans in Spain, Norway, Ireland, UK, Denmark, Sweden, Poland, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium and Exit in Serbia will not have the chance to see or hear her.

Confirmation or explanation for cancelling the tour has not even (as yet) been announced on her official website nor on the myspace page of the British artist.

The Exit Festival has already taken steps in finding a suitable replacement, which we will inform you about as soon as possible.

Thank you all for understanding.

So, erm, who's gonna replace her I wonder? Thankfully we have a month still but you have to imagine anyone half decent would have been booked already?

I think it's honest of her to say she can't tour. But fecking hell, grow a set... You don't even have to be in the business to know touring is part of it. And it was her choice to accept invitations to festivals and events etc. Know your limits I say. I hope this loses her fans because I think it's hugely inconsiderate and miscalculated on her part.

I don't know why I feel so strongly to be honest - I don't particularly rate her :D I suppose it's the principle of expectations really. Like when I saw Pendulum (DJ set) play earlier this year and they broke out into rock music in the middle of a drum & bass night... ridiculous, I f**ked off to smoke 20 cigarettes and came back when Sub Focus took over. Bit different I know but when something doesn't meet expectations it annoys. Rant over. :)

She must have some issue with playing live gigs. Went to see her in Nottingham (UK) a few months ago and she didnt show up. What a joke. Was looking forward to seeing her but in fairness i wanna see people play Exit who really wanna play Exit, if her heart isnt in it then the fortress will be a better place without her.

You know what, If she can't play, she can't play yunno...

Granted i'm a little pissed that she booked the gigs in the first place. She should've pre-empted her tiredness rather than lettin down the fans but f**k it she doesn't owe us anythin. She can do what she likes!!

Hopin' they can get someone in half decent to replace her... What about 'Uffie'! She rocks it on stage and she is damn hot!

Granted, I'm not a fan of hers but of course she owes her fans - they bought her records. Some may have bought event tickets to specifically see her at any one of her European tour dates. Anyway, if she can't be arsed, it says it all really and Exit's better off without her.

Sooooooo, any news of a possible replacement? Massive Attack by any chance?

    • And how was the sound? We ended up on the left side of the stage (first seating places were behind us), so the view was quite OK, just the sound was terrible (and very quiet). Which is very strange because the sound during Rusowsky was amazing and we had much worse spot (we were sitting on the hill under the big palm, so the view wasn't ideal).   Also, she wasn't like my most anticipated artist of the day and if the cost for a good spot at PinkPantheress is missing Jade's Angel of My Dreams, I'm not willing to pay it.   Yeah, with lineup like this, it's always about setting your priorities.
    • Would love them there but they are that odd situation where they probably aren't well known enough to headline Pyramid but can't see them saying yes to Other Stage.
    • Top 10:   1. The Cure  2. Gelli Haha 3. Olivia Rodrigo  4. Dijon 5. Ninajirachi  6. Oklou 7. Gorillaz 8. Viagra Boys  9. Sudan Archives 10. Men I Trust   If I'm allowed to include Model/Actriz, then slot them in at 7th
    • Madonna is the wildest of wild card calls!
    • Would they accept anything other than a headlining slot?  Would the festival offer them enough money?  Have they got neough bangers to nail a two hour Pyramid set?  I'm a fan and I'd say the likely answer to all of these is no.
