Its me and the wifes first year,really looking forward to it too, somerled your setting a great picture for the festival.I have been to bella the last three years how would you compare loop to bella.

cheers for that Somerled, that description has got me even more excited.

have to say I was absoloutely delighted to find out it's Echo and the Bunnymen rather than Travis for the saturday night, have wanted to see them for years!

hopefully see some of you at the festival then, will just be me and the wife so a meet up would be great!

Ok some questions from a first timer.

Will i need to bring much food as Somer points out there are loads of cafes and chip shops.

What is the script with the fringe gigs, do you need a wrist band to gain entry or is it just normal pub rules apply?

Also are the pubs/inns open whilst the fest is on for food and alike?

What time do the fringe places close?

How much walking is it from the car park to the actual festival camp?

Can't think of anymore but will later.

good organisation skills paul!

I'm a little bit ashamed to say me and the wife are staying in a B&B, we don't have a tent and got a cheap price so kind of made sense.

defo up for a numbers swap so we can meet up for some beers at some point though!

231 miles each way (around 65 more than trip to Bella).............really tempted, not so much by the bands but more by the whole vibe being described here.

is it worth it?
