Metcheck looks okay. Kerplunk think positive the Northeast is a big area KH will be a little oasis of sunshine. SNBA since you live fairly close to the site will you keep us informed what the weathers like on Wednesday because we'll be setting off at the crack of dawn on Thurs morning and can't afford to have the same thing happen again as last year. If there's loads of rain we might just leave it until Friday to set off. Although I've got to admit I hate the idea of missing a night there.

That would be useful.

We're travelling up from Wootton Bassett Thursday morning. 4 peeps and 4 peeps worth of gear in a little hatchback.

Be nice to know we could leave all our wet weather gear behind :)

But I dont think we'll chance it. Its a long way to go back for wellies :)

Well I'm up good and early to give you all the first weather report of the day! So far it's dry, although a little cloudy. The Beeb are saying that we, in the shire, are due some rain today - but not all day, it should be done with by about 4pm and then will brighten for the evening and tomorrow looks good and dry! Will keep you updated during the day if I can (I'm going into school to do some work in my classroom and not sure if the internet police will let me on the forum!) It's looking ok though :P

Thanks SNBA. Someone on site posted this morning that they had some of the R word but it was only light. As long as tomorrow isn't too bad we should be okay, hopefully.

I've just brought all the camping gear downstairs and piled it in the livingroom. Got to decide when to go shopping now. Was going to do it after work tomorrow but we've got to put one of the cats in a cattery now cos he's not 100% and not sure if I'll have enough time.

It's been raining on and off all day in the shire, but it's been really drizzly rain - so hopefully it's not had too much impact on the site!

Metcheck now says dry tomorrow, showers Thursday and Friday, sunny Saturday and Sunday.

Beeb say similar, as do Accuweather, so it's not looking too bad for the weekend really, as long as we get a break in the rain to set up camp then I'll be happy! :P

Meals are about £6* and the real ale about £3.30 a pint. If you've got a few kids in tow it might be worth bring some basics and snacks with you. You know what kids can be like hollow legs and never full.

* This is what we've paid as adults I don't have kids and so didn't really pay attention to child size meals/prices.

Picked up our cat from the vets earlier on and was faced with a bill of £217. To say I went pale is an understatement. Looks like we'll be taking food with us to try and keep costs down :( Pity the Hare Krishna's don't do Shambala. So if you see someone begging at the festy it isn't a fancydress idea it'll be me :(

Morning Shambalians! SNBA weather here...so far it's all dry in Shambalashire and the forcasts haven't changed. I've checked 3 again this morning - Metcheck, Beeb and Accuweather and they all say the same thing; dry today which is good as it will dry out any dampness from yesterday :P Showers tomorrow and Friday and then dry and sunny for the remainder of the weekend! It's looking good folks and at least we should be able to get there nice and early (well 2pm) tomorrow and get maximum time at lovely Shambala! Bring it on... B)

The SNBA Weather Channel :) Love it! Thanks for the latest update.

It certainly is looking good. Very acceptable. As they say on the Glasto Weather thread .. 'Stick!'

Best thing is it'll be good for the fancy dress parade. Having spent hours making

my 'baby' outfit I'd be really cheesed off if it was a wash out.

Last day at work gonna go sloooowwww.

Thanks SNBA for the weather updates, we should be safe to head off early then. Looks like there's a meet in the Wonkycock again this year(7pm Fri). Hope you can make it SNBA it'd be lovely to see you again. If anyone reading this thread fancys meeting in the flesh come to the Wonkycock pub at 7pm Friday.

As for our cat, who's costing us an arm & a leg. He's okay thanks (a long story I won't bore you with except to say if he catches anymore creatures after all this is over I'll personnally remove his teeth and claws.)

I probably won't get a chance to post again now before we go, so want to wish everyone a great festival. Hope to see some of you in the Wonkycock Pub, if not and you see a Grandfather Clock in the parade please come and say hello. 18 hours and 41 mins to go................

OMG, it's Thursday...! Way too early though!

So, the last of SNBA's weather updates then Shambalians. It's true to the forcasts at the moment - a little of the R word, not too heavy though, hopefully it will have stopped by the time the gates open so we should at least be able to set up in the dry!

See you all later....

:D:lol::)B):P;):rolleyes:

Just crawled back home after a fantastic three days. A warning for next year, however, there was at least one guy working the car park scamming money out of people on the day I arrived there. He was approaching people as they offloaded their stuff, asking a fiver a person and claiming the money was an additional donation for carbon offsets. He seemed very plausible at the time but when I asked about it later nobody official had heard of him.
