From the TWO Weather site... see their advice...

Glastonbury festival forecast

"Loads of you have been looking at our forecast for the Glastonbury festival (see our dedicated forecast for Glastonbury, day 1, day 2, the day 3 forecast will be available from Friday) which takes place between the 22nd - 24th June. In weather terms it's still a long way off which means we can't yet be confident about what the weather will be like. The best advice we can give at this stage is to track the forecasts each day and look for trends as a pointer to the most likely outcome. As the festival comes into the range of the high resolution forecasting models we will also be displaying graphs of the expected conditions stepped at 3 hour intervals for the duration of the festival"

I'm thinking the earlier that the 'experts' predict this kind of pissing rain for the whole festival the more chance there is of it being wrong. I mean we keep being told that you can't predict the weather with any degree of accuracy until 4 or so days before, so this predicted rainyness is bound to either come eariler than they reckon or later...it won't come when they predict it to cos it never does. Infallible logic!

just had a look at the metoffice and my feeling is that the unsettled weather could push through before the festival.

also, we could be lucky and be in a pocket that fares better.

LOL! I think people should'nt worry about the flip flopping of the forecast at this stage. We are still 2 weeks away which is a long time in weather forecasting and these forecasts are generally based on only one run taken in isolation rather than looking at the bigger picture and more importantly trends! The way i'm seeing it - Unsettled next week with a trend of pressure rising around the week commencing 18th June. Alot will pivot around where the low goes next week and where the high pressure will build in from...but all is not lost.

We're all Dooomed I tell ya Doooomed. Ahhhh better build an ark for the flood.

I am confident that it will be fine. 2004 wet then dry then wet 2005 bloody hot then wet then hot. 2007 is going to be fine I know it is. I can't have the 3 Glasto's I have been to being wet.

I think I might be a be a curse on the place.
