Metcheck are NOT always right!!! They're notoriously pessimistic. They constantly overestimate rain and underestimate temperatures, and they fluctuate wildly. Their methodology seems dodgy -- generally based on extrapolating predictions from precedent and past patterns ...

Just checked the link, utterly crap temperatures. I frankly refuse to believe (at this stage!) that the temps will never go over 17C. That's contradicted by almost all other forecasts.

(although they will sometimes get things right I guess, I prefer Netweather and other sites)

2003 was great - loads of sunshine - rained for 20 mins during de la soul - then vanished pretty quickly!!

praying for sun - 2005 was good but a mission getting about the place - mud really does slow you down and exhaust you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cheers.

Really sunny, but only 16C for the Friday?

Weird! Nice that it looks dry though

Can someone contrive the link for the general 14 or 16 day Glastonbury forcast please, from that site? Then I'll leave you alone.

Currently trying to reall yet another useful weather site I used last year ...

http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/ukweather/monthly_outlook.shtml

the BBC monthly forecast says that:

"Monthly forecasting

The weather beyond about a week ahead stretches even the most experienced weather forecaster"

and that's from the BBC site....

However they predict essentially seasonal average sunshine and rainfall for the period over the festival. We wont know the details until a week before really, so the 14th onwards roughly.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
