Leaving on Sunday

Hi All

 

Looking forward to this years festival as its my Fiancées first but, due to her job we need to be home Monday morning and we come from Coventry, just over three hours away.

 

What is it like trying to leave after the headliners on Sunday evening as I am in quandary about what to do, I'm between:

 

Leaving mid-afternoon Sunday and foregoing The Prodigy.

 

Watching The Prodigy and making a dash for the car, stopping for some kip at a hotel enroute and finishing the journey Monday morning.

 

Getting up early Monday and heading home.

 

The last one is my Fiancée's least preferred, I'd love option 1 but I'm thinking of the safest option, any advice greatly received. :-)

If you pack your car up early Sunday & move it to a space near an exit in the afternoon (there'll be gaps by then), you'll be fine getting off-site after The Prodigy (provided you're proactive and move towards one of the exits to the car parks towards the end of their set)...it's nowhere near as mental as leaving Glastonbury after the Sunday night headliners!

 

I've done that 3 out of my previous 5 times...and have always been home around 2:00/2:15am (I live two & half hours away).

 

The only downside is having to stop drinking mid-afternoon.
