Ticket Deferral

My flat mate was due to attend this year with me and a few friends. He recently received some devastating news in his close family which now means he is no longer in a position to attend the festival this week.

I am fairly certain I know the answer to the question I am about to ask but I promised I would explore all avenues on his behalf so turning to the efest community... 'Is there anyway of deferring / rolling over a ticket until next year in exceptional circumstances?'

Sorry to hear this and I hope your friend will be alright. With regards to deferral of tickets it will be a no, unfortunately. Best thing to do would be to try and get a refund - did he pay for ticket protection?
