Live-in Vehicle Field Security / Exit Issues

Does anyone know what the security was like on the campervan field at KC 2018? Were special wristbands needed or could anybody attending the festival gain access to that area? Were there security related problems in that area like I read about at the 2017 festival?

Also, were there problems exiting the live-in vehicle field in 2018 requiring a tractor tow off?  (Had a terrible experience exiting Glastonbury in 2016 and don't want a similar experience.)

Thanks.

No special wrist bands required. Can’t say I seen any security related incidents last year but that doesn’t mean there wasn’t any. I got off no probs. To be fair, bar the last 2 days, I believe the weather had been really kind to the area for many weeks before the festival so the field didn’t get bogged down too much. Previous years have been bad though.

i've never used a campervan field before, alwasy camped. we are coming in a camper this year...

is it ok for people who have camping tickets to wander into the camper field to come and have a drink etc.. with us around our camper?

whats the noise generally like? is there people sitting out chatting till the late hours (i hope so). people shouting and being knobs? (i hope not)

is there plenty space around the campers, to table and chairs out? whats the toilets usually like? we don't have a toilet on ours.

also, is it the furthest field from the stages? do you just basically walk straight through the main camp site? i'm not exactly sure where the camper field is. is there a different entrance so you don't have to stand in the car queue?

any other advice appreciated! can't wait

Anyone can come in and out and join you for a drink - you can even pitch them up with you if you have space on your pitch.

its pretty quiet at night - you get a good nights sleep! no one blowing up gas canisters etc etc

theres a few toilet blocks that are ok

its the furthest away but still not really that far! - 15 min walk maybe. still not as far as getting from one stage to the other at glastonbury!

and yes - different entrance straight into the field - follow the signs for campervans

cheers for that. i'm guessing that they give you some sort of direction pack with the tickets? i've been to KC countless times but can't remember ever seeing the camper field or sign posts for it :-) hope we have good neighbours

When you drive up you follow the green signs for live in vehicle, it takes you in a different way than general camping. I use live in vehicle every year. Its pretty quiet and chilled out.
