Coach ticket pick up

my G/friend is unable to travel to the site with me on the coach departure date - in the official Glasto FAQs it says all those who can't travel in the coach need to cancel and buy a standard ticket. This isn't really an option so has anybody got any experience of traveling via coach and when the tickets are actually given out - my Mrs can grab the ticket when boarding and go home if it's possible?

They usually give out tickets on the actual coach , say half way to site, which stops peole going for coach tickets and then not using the coach ... but have a word with the driver and hopefully if you are on teh coach he will give you both (if you bought them together) , if not I believe that any tickets that aren;t colelcted on the coach can be left at eh box office (as they have to have a contingency for those that miss the coach)

I'm in a similar situation and emailed See about it. They told me that as the lead booker the coach driver should give me both tickets. I have the email saved for the inevitable argument.

Worst case scenario it'll go to the box office and you'll be able to collect from there.

The coach driver kicks the crap out of you and then strangles you with your tent guide rope for even thinking of trying to bend these ring fences rules!

To be fair they never seem that arsed they usually give tickets out round pit stop or if short journey then dish them out after set off

    • I think we still have 2 acts to announce each day, maybe one more big name to complete the lineup?   Perhaps the big name is Turnstile on Thursday, which isn't sold out yet. And some other names that could be added like Iceage, Band of Horses or Tomora.
    • Saw David Gray 8 times between 2000 and 2025 (including one solo acoustic performance in Wexford, IE, 2017) and he always delivered. I enjoyed every show, never felt bland or let down an iota. To each their own. Yeah, it’s just that he’s not your cup of tea I’m afraid.   Agree that David is a bad dancer though lol.
    • Its massively bonkers the cost now amd it means missing out on some gigs but buying into only promotes it. Im more annoyed at gigs that are cheap that I have to resist as I'm far too tired after work.
    • Yeah I mean first time seeing them sure, I was the same in 2010. Their arena tour got a bit boring, it was like just get on with it. Feeder being in a tent was silly really, there is a difference between being around 4th down on main stage snd then moving that crowd into a tent.
