Late night at IOW

Hi.

First timer this year. 

Can anyone who has been before let me know if there is plenty to do after the headline bands have finished?

Do certain areas or tents remain open with music on etc?

Hiya,  After the headliner there is always something on in the Big Top and some of the smaller stages.  The Friday and Saturday it will all finish by 2am and then clear the arena areas.

I remember the last time I went (2015), there was a Dance music/rave up tent with some excellent DJ's...  in fact, most of the weekend was spent in there, but I can't remember if it had a name  (It surely must have done)  Can't see anything that rings a bell on the "Areas" section on the fest website though..

There was a dance tent introduced the last time i went to the festival in 2013, it was aptly named "The Dance Tent"! ?

As per the above, Thursday used to be a relatively early finish while the smaller areas/stages stayed open till the early hours.

I've always found that security seem to want you to go to the campsite pretty soon after the music has finished. One year me and my friends stumbled across this guy who had a laptop and speakers in a wheelbarrow, and he started off a little party in the area between camping and the arena. There was no bother at all, everyone was being well behaved and just having fun. Security quickly shut him down though. Not very festive!
