Page Monitor

Hi

Failed to get a ticket...........sad face

I am trying to monitor pages to see if they are changing, I am a member of the whatsapp group and am currently designing a don't pee on the land poster to win tickets.

page monitor, two questions;

1. What pages am I monitoring?

2. What monitor am I using, as the two I am using don't actually seem to work.  They would need to be for I-Phone as unless I can make my PC speak to my phone ?!? this isn't going to be that useful

I appreciate there are groups covering in and around this area but, I have been through those and still don't think I have the right kit looking in the right place.

Help appreciated.

I think it's this link you want to monitor, but don't take my word for it as I also have no idea.

That page probably won't change as it's already functioning - it looks up the reg numbers and returns a result from the database. Glastonbury.seetickets.com is the one to monitor as that will change with links to the reg page as soon as a sale goes live.

Hi Guys,

I'm using an app for my iPhone. Just search in the App Store for web checker. The one I'm using seems to work! Hope it works for you all too!

Chris

I have searched for 'Web Checker' I get 82 matches, do you know what I am looking for exactly?

The icon picture is an orange circle with a refresh icon in it. Called WebChecker

Do you know if these secret sales are a legitimate thing? I've been lucky in the past to get tickets so am fairly new to these 'secret sales'

the secret resales thread covers this quite extensively already.  Follow that page works but has a max resolution of 1 hour (meaning you could be waiting up to an hour on each page).  Many people use the apps which run on their phone/PC which Ive been told work great but either require you to be at your PC, or drain your phone battery.  They're also prone to false positives.

because of this some forum users have created their own systems ;).  Mine only checks glasto pages but because its specific it can monitor them with a much greater frequency (once every two minutes) and filters out some of the automatic changes see tickets make related to page serial numbers and stuff.  Then it emails a few (300+ and counting) users to let them know its changed.

whatever systems you use I'd recommend monitoring

http://glastonbury.seetickets.com/tour/glastonbury-2016

and

http://glastonbury.seetickets.com/

They'll make changes to http://glastonbury.seetickets.com/event/glastonbury-2016/worthy-farm/900001 first, but unless you script it to submit a registration number, that wont change for you.

Oh wow! That gives me a little bit of hope. I feel a fool, my boyfriend and I have been going a few years and we agreed that we would have a year off festivals, now we're both majorly regretting that decision. Definitely have a google of 'Glastonbury 2016 competitions' as you never know! Thatchers are running one, eFestivals and the guardian, all ending in the next few weeks. Worth a shot!

I've seen that on the first link it says 'On sale on Wednesday, 22 Jun 2016 at 12:00 AM

Have you any clue on this?

yep - they're lying ;)

Again, that was discussed in the resales thread.  they make odd changes like that on see tickets - i suspect its in preparation for the resales.  e.g. if they set up the sale, prepare all the tickets etc, then they can just change the go-live-date to put them on sale instantly
