when does cockmill fill up?

we usually go Tuesday night, but this year might be going by coach.  What are the chances of us getting a 4 man tent up on Wed afternoon do you think?

Depends what time, but getting slimmer the later it gets. We stayed in Cockmill in 2013. Got there about 10 am and had no trouble. I'd say by 1-2 pm there weren't really many spaces for family size ones left, but there was a trickle of smaller ones still coming in. By late afternoon people were being turned away by the campsite crew, whatever size tent they had. 

If you're getting a coach, I'd really recommend Wicket instead. It's a hell of a trek from gate A to Cockmill with all your stuff, especially if you then get told it's full! Wicket will have plenty if space, and the walk over to kids field is far easier if you're just carrying the few bits you need for a day.

I think we might go with Wicket but have a group of friends who if they get resale tickets will probably end up in Cockmill so working out if it's worth them taking our tent.  But they won't get in till 11am isn I dint think.
