Is Refresh Worth It?

M'learned colleague could well be on to something here. The introduction of Refresh hasn't stopped people pissing and shitting against any vertical object though.

Personally I can't see the point in queueing for ages to use a nice toilet etc and paying for the privilege but then again I don't have fake tan, hair that needs straightening and an irrational fear of portaloos. My time is far more important.

I personally wouldn't buy a refresh band, baby wipes and dry shampoo for the weekend! It's a lot of money to stand in a queue when you are wasted and end up peeing against a wall anyway. Too busy trying to cure your hangover with more drink in the morning to go for a shower and make yourself look pretty...

We also seen a girl come out of refresh after a shower and fall face first into the mud in 2012 after her boot got stuck...

refresh is absolutely pointless for a slighty better toilet or running water. queues were always bad as far as my memory serves me. queues for portaloos are not bad at all and as a bloke the urinals were always a lot easier. still though as the day goes on u see people pissing up against anything and everything, starts off with blokes up against a fence and then woman doing it with their mates covering them with coats etc then in all their glory just deciding to have a piss in the middle of the crowd. as long as they dont cup it and chuck it i wont grumble. not a festival without standing in someones piss really.

    • I mean Two Door Cinema Club from that era have sold out Crystal Palace Bowl and played the O2 before. So there are indeed precedents.   I guess it depends how far the 2000s/2010s indie hierarchy we go before we truly find one that ends up getting blue dot fever.
