Glastonbury anthem post....

Ok, so there's two weeks to go and the sun is shining (where I am anyway) so lets build the excitement a bit more by posting a few feel-good songs that perhaps sum up festivals for you, get you more in the mood or are the perfect anthem for Glastonbury. It could also help us all discover new bands that we might go and see.

The rules are these:

1.) Band/act MUST be playing Glastonbury 2014

2.) See rule #1

I'll get the ball rolling with 'The Stairs' by Family of the Year (William's Green, 8pm, Sunday), a slice of dreamy, West Coast, stoner stuff that cheered me up this morning

It gets a special mention for the lyric:

"They made the sunrise for people like us, so we have an excuse as to why we're still up"

I think this sums up Glastonbury pretty well. Enjoy.

You can never really look much further than Kids by MGMT. When I saw them in 08 in The Park, on the way out after the gig the whole crowd was singing the keyboard riff again and again.

Then I went to see Massive Attack which brought me back down to earth with a bit of a bump.
