East/west car park

Are there signposts to each of the car parks and can you get to west car park if coming from the east, or are you just directed to the nearest to you?

Car parks are very well signposted. Others will be able to advise on specific routes, but as a general rule follow red route for west, blue/purple route for east.

The road through Pilton is supposedly closed to all but locals/crew (although I have herd of people driving this way without being stopped) so if you need to make a detour to get to right side for the car park you want then best to do it some way from the festival.

You are just guided into the car park. It is my experience that you do not get a choice. I always divert my route well in advance so that I arrive on the side I want. It just needs a bit of planning

West is best. I come in from London, I point my sat nav to the town of Street to go around, then pick up the signs to the festival which lead to West. Works for me anyway.
