Airbed

DOES anyone have any airbed pump recommendations? There's so many out there any it's hard to pick

I'm looking for something that's small, quick and doesn't take too much effort. (Just incase you thought I was looking for something large, slow and requires a lot of effort)

Cheers

I use a 2L double-action hand-pump like http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/hi-gear-2l-double-action-sleeping-foot-pump-p143709 but that's largely because I have one anyway for kitesurfing. They're a bit bulky, but definitely the most reliably quick way to pump up an airbed.

If you're looking for something smaller, particularly if you're lazy, electric pumps have got fairly effective now http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/hi-gear-tornado-sleeping-pump-p143973 the problem with electric ones is they have the risk of dying at any point and then you're stuck blowing up by hand.

I personally hate foot-pumps like http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/hi-gear-5l-sleeping-foot-pump-p143577 I find they work slowly, squeak incredibly annoyingly, and never actually pump at the capacity they claim to have. They're definitely smaller than double-action handpumps though so if size is more of an issue than effectiveness it might be worth considering.

(btw, I'm not affiliated with or particularly recommending go outdoors or higear, that was just the first site that came to mind for showing examples).

You could get a self-inflating airbed, I've not got one myself but I slept on one a while back and they're pretty good, even the self-inflating rollmats are decent.

    • I was also at Ghost but seated. When they scanned my ticket's and they came up as seated they printed a small ticket with the seat number info.
    • I was standing for Ghost at O2 London last year where they put the phone in a pouch beforehand so I assume they're is a mechanism in place for people in seats.
