Hey all,

First time post and Glastonbury virgin...

I'm after some advice re what time to leave the festival on Monday morning as i need to be in Milton Keynes for 2.30pm ish to get my train home to Manchester.

Any advice much appreciated!

By all accounts as early as possible! It can, and has taken hours to get packed up, and off site on Monday.

Just make sure that you leave yourself lots of time.

I'm by no means an expert and others may be able to guide you more.

If you can be in your car before 8am, then you should get off site with no troubles.

before 6 old son after that traffic starts to build and from 8 till about 4 they reckon is a night mare ....

What's worked nicely for us in the past is to pack away tent and everything except for day bag Sunday morning. Make the trip to the car Sunday morning and then have the whole fo Sunday onsite. Then if you leave around 2-3am you will have no packing to do and clear roads out of the site!

Or, if you're gonna be munted all day and night Sunday, I'd say to try and make sure you're in your car by about 7am

We left about 12 on the Monday, and it was very busy getting out,

Took us about an hour to get out, we ended up going down some country back roads in our splity camper, and had a very near miss with a lorry that had the same idea.

This year we need to back in cheltenham about 7am on the monday, what is the best time to leave?

is there much traffic at 5am?
