Arcadia not booked

So arcadia hasnt been booked yet for Bestival 2013 not the spider or the new smaller Bug Rave

they are asking on their facebook page for people to pester Bestival to book them

would you miss Arcadia ?

personally not fussed the new port area sounds excellent and one unannouced area to come ( also i will see the full arcadia at glasto)

Festival captain Rob da Bank said, "I'm probably more excited about this new stage for Bestival than anything else in the last decade of creating fun and mental spaces for people to party on. We've got a tree you can rave inside, a forest with films and a giant metal spider that breathes fire but we've never had a life sized ship transmitting the best techno and house DJs across the waves while lasers strafe the crowd and a lighthouse booms its foghorn!

I know plenty of folk love Arcadia but it doesn't really interest me. If there's a decent DJ on I'd go see them but the whole theatrics of it does nothing for me. I'd be more than happy if they replaced it with something new.

Unless they bring the Spider Im not that fussed. The mechanical caberet was good last year, although wouldnt make great repeat viewing.

I loved the After Burner at Bestival and Rockness. Really enjoyed the smallness of it, and everyone up dancing on the legs.

Really missed that at Rockness this year with the Armadillo thing or whatever it was. Didnt feel much different than being at a normal stage. Just everyone facing the act. Much preferred the After Burner set up with everyone circled around it.

I dont think I've ever seen it! So I can't say I'll miss it, I'm usually over whelmed with DJs that I want to see all night which is a shame if i never get to see it.

Really wasn't fussed for it after it relocated from next to the lake/pond. I suppose there was too much sound leaking & people getting distracted by it in the arena.

None of the DJs really grabbed my attention on it the past couple of years either, whereas 2010 I deliberately went there to see Giggs, Joker, Zinc & Darwin Deez.

Bring it back by all means though, gives another finger up to other UK festivals.
