Spare ticket query?

Guest slats

Recommended Posts

We have a spare ticket .... Genuine reason why the person cant go (shes just found out shes pregnant and although we have tried to talk her into still coming, she has suffered a miscarriage in the past so is terrified of putting her body through avoidable stress.) So we are thinking about giving it to somebody else

My query is, if the person that we give it to gets caught out ... would it block the person who's name is originally on the ticket from registering or ever buying tickets again?

Or worse still , as we all booked tickets together would it cancel the whole groups bookings?

I know the answer to both of these is probably no, just want to make sure.

Seems a shame to waste a ticket when we have somebody without one who's desperate to go..

Reckon if there person who tries to get in is a good likeness you do stand a chance of getting in. A few years ago we had a ticket that was sold to another mate. After a fair bit of blagging we managed to get in. The spare ticket had the same name and address as someone who was there (his brother) so it was obvious it had not been sold on Ebay etc as his ID showed he lived round the corner. Whether the steward will take a backhander is another possibility. Just play it cool and reckon you have a god probability of getting in.

Cheers all ,, its not so much the getting in part were too fussed about as we are pretty confident she can pull it off...

Its just if anyone knows what happens on the off chance she gets caught, don't want the girl who's give it away suffering for doing a good deed and having her name 'blacklisted' for future festivals

They will just take the ticket off your mate and send het on her way. I have worked at the gates and have not heard of folk getting blacklisted. Often people can't attend and give their ticket away on the chance a mate can in.

Don't worry about it. Even if they did blacklist you can reregister. But the main reason for the photo is to stop touts ripping folk off and not helping a mate out.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
