Sad to see the demise of Bourbon Street, is there a similar place on site?

My wife really loves Jazz and would happily spend hours listening while I wander elsewhere on site.

I must admit, any time I went in or wandered by, all I could hear was blues music.

West Holts may well have some 'jazzy' acts.

Yeah - it does seem to be a genre that's not really catered for at Glastonbury, a few ethnic fusion acts or token performers aside. Even klezmer and east European/Balkan music gets more of a look in. There probably is a gap there.

Probably best to look out for interesting looking performers on the smaller stages rather than settling in one venue and hoping that their bill suits. Though I understand if that's no use due to mobility issues or similar.

I agree Bourbon Street was great, for blues mostly (Who was that great powerful lady singer/guitarist who played there??)

Also, demise of Jazz World Stage, which on checking just now isn't focused on Jazz at all now: The location of the renamed West Holts stage will remain the same and, according to Mr Eavis, will be the place to hear "global future roots music"

How can you tell, the line up has been announced?

I've heard some most excellent Jazz infused music from that stage, if you're selective, it's still there. West Holts offers the most or at the very least least matches the widest variety of quality music you'll hear from any stage on site. IMHO that is.

Jazz World was never solely focussed on Jazz, mind. It's always had a mix of funky stuff, reggae, world, soul, hip-hop, folk, etc.

I would like to see more jazz but I'd imagine there's an argument to be had about what's really jazz and I don't think we're quite ready for it yet.
