Paul roundhill (petes druggie mate) has posted the Libertines are doing two gigs in 2013 to his blog, one being in Japan?

how old is that blog post?

The Libs were planning two shows this summer that I long knew of - one was a private gig in Japan for BIG ££££ money, and the other was a show that was being arranged to try take the heat away from that Japanese show and the fact that they're clearly playing for the money.

The other gig, tho, was - so I heard on numerous occasions from a variety of different sources - going to be a Wireless fest headline show, which isn't happening - but I'm not sure why. I'd guess tho that it's because it wouldn't have sold in the numbers that would be necessary, so the promoters backed out.

He doesn't have any management, that's the problem.

He plays in London virtually every other week, and plays in France most weeks. He normally plays the places its the least effort for him to get to because he doesn't have a great record with one off out of the way places, I suppose he doesn't need to if he can pick up his crack money closer to home.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
