Tangerine Fields at Glastonbury

After reaching my late 30s and having experienced the Tangerine Fields at Bestival this year, has anyone ever used them at Glasto? I am wondering how far away if in the same area are they away from the main site, and if its worth getting a "Tangerine" car park pass for another £15, the old Glasto reciept its starting to mount already :-) Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Did Tangerine Fields last year. I parked in the TF field which was close by and easy. My friend came the next day and parked in a Glastonbury Festival car park. They wouldn't let him choose one near to TF so he had to park a very long way away and yomp all the way through the site. Not much fun! I would definitely get a TF car park pass.

TF was great, just on the outside edge of the festival and a very short walk to the Pyramid stage. Nice views too.

This year we are doing Worthy View, but only because TF had sold out by the time I went to book.

Yeah we stayed at tf last year also. Well worth getting a car park pass as you park literally 50 yards from entrance to field. We where the early last year and I think they opened at about 7 or 8am . Facilities at TF are excellent, make sure you try there stone cooked pizza from the bar!

can anyone tell me which route you have to take when you leave the TF carpark on Monday? do you have to go back along blue route and get snarled up with the main car park traffic.....or do they direct you out up the lane and onto the Pilton road thereby avoiding the queues?

Had an email from Tangerine Fields that says that because they are at the far end of the one-way system (Blue Route) traffic leaving the TF car park on Monday will have a shorter distance to travel to join the main road. I think they have overlooked the fact that the one-way system is reversed from Sunday, thereby leaving TF traffic at the very back of the queue....unless that is the one-way system isn't reversed all the way to TF and traffic goes straight out up the lane to the A361 - which is what I'm hoping for. I've mailed back and I'm waiting a response....

Had a reply which was a bit vague but suggested that TF traffic will leave the car park and head north up the lane to john the A361 as I hoped iv would. The traffic plan backs that up showing that the lane from the car park - Copse Lane - will be one-way in a Northerly direction from some time on Sunday through to Monday evening.

What we really need is someone who has used TF before to confirm that...

I would guess you have as much chance of being searched as you would using the normal car parks. I can't see that there would be any special security just for TF customers. I've never seen any cars getting searched at glastonbury, unlike V Festival etc.

    • Not my experience. I've always got the size I paid for.

    • I am very possibly wrong about this but I do think that the pitch you get allocated appears to be related to your time of arrival, (i.e. you get the next one available) rather than the price you paid for a small, medium or large pitch.  They all appear to be the same size to me.
