Disabled camping

Tickets permitting for the 2013 festival we have been considering disabled camping as my girlfriends son of six is diabetic and I understand you have the means there to keep his insulin refrigerated there.

Do you have to be registered disabled to stay there ?

How rapidly does the camping fill up ?

Is there any restrictions on tents there ?

Is a friend coming with us permitted to stay (he does have various health problems) ?

How do children 12 and under get into the festival, birth certificate ?

Just found this on the ticket FAQ...

Children aged 12 and under, and child ticket holders, must be accompanied by an adult ticket holder. If you are bringing a child aged 12 or under with you who looks older than 12 it is advisable to bring ID to verify their age.

How do children 12 and under get into the festival, birth certificate ?

unless your child looks over 12 you'll be fine - they just let the kid into the festival with you.

If you child looks over 12 then it's best to take some form of ID, as it means you'll be able to satisfy any challenge you might get over your child's age.

We stayed in the disabledfield last year as my friend has joint problems. We also went with her son. Once you have a ticket you then contact them for a disabled pack. My friend had to send a copy of her blue badge as proof. We were allowed 2 tents per booking and the field did get full but was very spaced out between tents for those who needed access. When you book you tell them how many tents you are bringing and they are really well organised and know what to expect. I had only ever done the regular camping before. The whole process was brilliant would definitely recommend it.
