Anyone know when tipis usually go on sale? I'm staying optimistic in my chances of actually getting a ticket and thinking ahead a bit!

I would really love a tipi, but there's no way I can afford one for just me and my son. I would have to pay the whole lot myself and from memory it was £600-800.

Were tipis bookable with the final balance in April? Not at all sure on this. Anyone confirm or deny this?

Worse than I thought-£950.

And you still need to lug all your bedding and stuff there. Although a tipi effectively means you have your pitch reserved, and you can sail calmly onto site when you want, rather than scrambling in on Wednesday.

No info available on the site about when they go on sale, anyone any ideas? Would love to try and book them as soon as I have a ticket.

After AnnaGrant mentionned it I vaguely recall it is the week when you repay the balance. They sold out very fast last time, within about an hour I think.

You can buy your Tipi tickets when you pay the balance off your tickets in April/May next year

Unfortunately you cannot pre-book a tipi either.

They are expensive and not worth the £900 odd quid but it was a life saver for us last year as we could only arrive on Thursday evening.

Worth every penny of you can get a group together to share the costs. Especially in years like the last one with the weather the few days....although that is NOT going to happen again in 2013 of course!

£950 / 6 = £158.33 each on top of £210 per ticket + £25 car park ticket = £393.33.

Add beers, food, spends, etc = £700!!!

Bargain!!.....

Yeah we had a tipi last year between 3 of us, add in the ticket, flight over, travel, spending money etc

Could have had 7 days all inclusive inthe Caribbean for the same cash but I would have had nowhere near as much fun.

It's our annual holiday and we could spent that going abroad somewhere I suppose but as Simon says no where is as fun!

The tipis do make sense, if you have the money. However £950 for 6 people is still a lot of cash for me!! I know a few friends who want to do it, but hey ho, might get a blag and use the sauna bit....
