New to Download - cant wait!

Hey all!

I'm new to download, as the title suggests! I'm just going on the Friday to see The Prodigy as I have commitments for the rest of the weekend. A few of my mates and me are travelling up from Berkshire for the day by car and I just wondered if you could give me some useful tips? What time should we aim to be there for? Is it easy to get to the front barrier? More importantly however, is download worth the hype? All I've heard is positive things so am looking forward to it thanks guys!

A lot of the awesomeness of Download is away from the arena, so just coming for the day, you won't leave with a true feel of Download IMO.

Im sure you'll have a good time with Prodigy and Chase N Status looking at your gigs, not sure you'll like the rest of the days bands. Should be a great sound setup and stage display. But Prodigy will only have what they want. Im hoping they bother with a big screen backdrop, cus they don't usually. But as they're headlining, id like to see something different from them, a bit special

Ahh, that's a shame - hopefully next year I'll go for the entire weekend! And I'm also looking forward to Machine Head - should be an awesome day

And yeah, I'm a massive fan and I hope they have some sort of extra thing to add to these new shows but I highly doubt it as they'll just be premiering new songs at the gig so I doubt much thought will go into the actual show but you never know! Let's just hope for the best!!
