We had a big bad evil gabebo and as soon as it was up on Wednesday morning at 10am it was used by our neighbours to shelter their bags (and girlfriends) while they put their tents up. Paid for itself in an hour.

But instead of having it over our tents we had it int he middle. Doesnt look very big but look at all the space it gave us.

It takes up a tiny amount of room compared to a gazeebo and was a god send whent he rain came. Its obviously not as spacious as a gazeebo but gave us enough room from the elements and thats all we needed.

assuming there is enough space at Glastonbury for everyone to camp, whats the issue with people wanting to camp with their mates? When phone signals can be terrible, it really doesn't seem such a bad thing. So, if taping off saves the space for mates then fine, but when they get there, take it down. All it will do is give people something else to trip over and in my experience, theres enough without it.

Now, having once lost my tent while trying to get home, I did once find someones gazebo with a camping chair in it and took a few hours nap in it. As it was raining, it was a godsend. I've never quite understood the obsession with people who don'y like them, as long as the tents with which its brought are close to it they don't cover any more space than is reasonable to have a small social space for a group of people.

Anyone getting angry about them really does need to cheer the f**k up.

As a tarp is smaller its less likely to block pathways. Out tarp wasnt obstructing any pathways. In fact it cleared way for one next to us.

We had a gazebo but you could walk through it, its perfect for when it rains but you still want to sit under it, we had a water cannon full with sambuca and every f**ker who walked past got invited in for a go ha!

I'm a bit "Meh" with the whole gazebo/taping malarky. There is one festival I work at and you camp alongside your vehicle. Now that is a great idea until you get a load of folk forming a cicle of cars as if to protect themselves from the marauding hordes around them. Once you have seen vast swathes of land taken like that you are not minded by a few gazebos
