Missed em. Went up there but it was too busy, and it was all about standing about watching performers and stuff.

Maybe I've just been caned when I've been up there previously but i'm sure I used to just go up and chill, get cracking on with some new people and the like. Maybe another example of the festival being more a spectator event and less a participation.

Stone circle? Magical? Chilling?

Bollocks.

Constant sound of gas canisters going off.

Drunk shamblers waving those wax flares/candles about in a dangerous fashion dripping wax on some people and almost skewering some others.

People treating lit fires as a things to play with.

Almost getting pissed on! (sorry mate, didn't see you! he ponced a fag off me but 10 minutes before!)

I was so on edge I walked out of the place in 2008 wanting to commit murder.

It is a loverly place, the view is beautiful, but so many self absorbed w*nkers up there "just having a larf" that I just avoid the place after dark.

Fireworks were amazing, totally wasn't expecting them and it just made me feel even more warm and fuzzy inside. It is all about the Stone Circle on a Wednesday for me.

However, the stupid bloke who was letting the lanterns off before they were ready right next to us should really take a long hard look at himself. If you don't inflate them properly, they won't work! We took them off him about 10 times and showed him but he was STILL letting them plummet into the heads of passers by. DOYLE!

    • RIP Roy Hattersley
    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
