Camp Advice For Arriving Thurs Evening

Hope to arrive late afternoon/early evening and will be on my own.

Where is the best chance of finding space for tent. (sorry if this has been asked many times before)

Your best bet will probably be west of the park stage, Dairy Ground I think the field is called.

You will find a place, probably very easily, its just that people pack into the more popular fields, making people think that the entire site is full. If there's only one of you you could probably camp almost anywhere you please with a bit of wandering but Dairy Ground will have the largest areas of open space so if you want to sure of a place, head there.

I arrived on Thursday late afternoon last year and ended up in South Park; it was far from everything! It's crew camping only this year anyways.

That was because i was with people though, i reckon you could easily squeeze a small tent somewhere else, then go find a group to join!

I'm in a similar position, two of us arriving thurs around 6-7 with one tent. Always used to arrive on Red Route from the north and so easy access to Dairy Ground and spacious areas out west but coming from London this time and A37 looks a whole lot simpler for getting away late Sunday. Anyone got any experience of space leftover on the East side on Thursday?

Arriving Thursday, you looking at the outer fields for large tents.

All those close to the action, will be pretty rammed.
