Hi everyone, long time reader and first time poster here, and this'll be my third glasto.. I was the only one of my Glasto crew unlucky enough not to get a ticket in the orignal sale but sneaked a coach ticket in the resale. Coming from nearby Bath, I'll be at the site fairly early on the Wednesday - hopefully early enough to find a spot on Pennards. The rest of the group will be arriving a couple of hours later, so would it be unreasonable to corden off an area large enough area for 3-4 more tents until they arrive in such a sought after area? Cheers.

You might not get a favourable response if you do that because traffic can turn a couple of hours in to 6 or 7... One thing you could do is get them to carry your gear in, and you carry enough of their tents to lay out and 'claim' the area until they get there (e.g. flysheets, footprint etc.), and they bring the rest.

It's not that unreasonable, but it is difficult, we tried it one year and people just plonked themselves where there was space. But last year I negotiated space with a girl next to me, i was only saving for 1 other tent as was she but we managed to find quite nicely and got to know our neighbors a bit too :)
