Hello all,

In the THE FINE TRANSPORT GUIDE under the Drop-off, pick-up point heading it states

"follow the signs and miss the traffic jams on the way in and out."

Has anybody ever used the Drop-off, pick-up point??? How can it be that they can miss traffic jams?

It's unlikely you'd miss the traffic jams that extend from the festival almost as far as the M5 junction.

However, closed to the festival, roads are reserved for different purposes. So cars bound for the car park go one (congested) way, buses go another, cars for drop-off/pick-up go another.

Drop off point at bath and west was heavily affected by the traffic problems in 2009, if the roads are busy the buses take longer. I did 5 1/2 hours queueing there, with no end in sight and was lucky to be offered a lift in by someone with space in their van. Avoid it, is my advice.

I did it last year as got dropped off by a very tired Dad!

Got dropped off around 6AM on the Wednesday as travelled through the night and got the first bus at around 8AM I think..I was also tired and it's pretty hard to remember...

But it only took around 30 minutes maximum at that time, it meant hitting the huge queues at the gate though.

Once you're in, it's all good and you forget about it all though :P
