Hi Ive been to reading the past two years and through ritual i want to go again, ive read on these forums of people buying tickets a few weeks before below face value.

i want to know if anyone can help give me advice on how to do it and also if its possible will it be more likely to get cheaper tickets this year due to poor ticket sales?

any help will be much appreciated

I'd imagine they'll be quite a few tickets going for about half price, best to wait as close to the festival as possible as sellers will start to panic and punt their tickets for as much as they can get.

There are probably going to be more people wanting wanting to sell tickets that they've already bought and less people wanting to buy them, so that can only be good news for you. If you look on ebay now there are weekend tickets with less than 10 hours left going for about £105, they'll go up but not that much. Not sure if you'll get one nearer the time for £100 but you should get one for way less than face value if you keep your eyes open.

Ticketline who usually sell out their allocation in a matter of minutes have still got tickets and they are even selling Leeds weekend ones without a booking fee.

I reckon the way it is going that Reading will sell out but I doubt Leeds will as it didn't sell out last year with tickets going back on sale a few weeks before the festival and with the capacity increasing by 5,000 I can see tickets for Leeds going for £130-£150 nearer the festival.

A girl I was meant to be going Reading with last year sold her ticket the week of the festival for about £130, she struggled to get that much. Allegedly she donated the money to charity, each to their own I guess!
